The "scoop" is in large part common sense.  Of course Eternals is intended as a franchise and of course they would have given her a generous package even if she is not lead. She is central to the push to get people interested in obscure characters in the Marvel Universe.  A stand-alone is a big part of the Marvel formula and they would have discussed all possibilities when they mapped out Phase 4, but to "want" a solo for her now seems premature.  Nor is it certain that she will agree.  She declined Bride of Frankenstein with the comment "how many monsters can one play" -- even though her former assistant Holly Goline was involved in the project and even though she was grateful to Universal for backing her with Unbroken and By the Sea.  Of course, this "news" could be read as a sign Marvel likes what Chloe Zhao delivered and is confident that the audience will respond to both Eternals and Thena.

What is clear is that she has a very strong and tight relationship with Disney.

The same site's scoop on Maleficent 3 seems more likely because she spoke of possibilities for continuing the story.  MMoE's $492 on a $185 budget not including ancillaries is still profitable, and it retained its core audience with a 95% RT audience score and an A Cinemscore.  What M and MMoE both sorely lacked was a competent director.  The excitement for Eternals among film buffs who are not Marvel fans is centered on Zhao, the first Academy Award-winning director to work on a Marvel film.  If M3 moves ahead, hopefully it will be with a decent, proven director at the helm.  The previous two had never directed a film on their own before and it showed.

The site probably got all the info at the same time and made it to be about the two movies instead of just one story on Angelina.  The site has had some success with scoops, which of course does not mean they are necessarily right with these two.

Do you, Brad Pitt, take Angelina Jolie to be your lawfully wedded wife?

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are set to get married at their Chateau Miraval estate in the south of France this weekend. After months of will-they-won’t-they, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie look set to finally tie the knot at their stunning chateau in the south of France.

With the exception of the Royal Wedding, the marriage of Brangelina is the most eagerly-awaited nuptial ceremony in years – and it is taking place this weekend. The Hollywood couple have been together since 2005 and have six children, but after putting off the inevitable for some time, are now about to say their vows in front of hundreds of A-listers. Rumours have been rife for months, despite the fact that that couple initially vowed they would not marry until gay marriage was legalised in the US. However, pressure from their children who wanted them to be like ‘Shrek and Fiona’ ultimately changed their minds and they were engaged in April when Brad finally put a ring on it. Now, their huge French estate Chateau Miraval, located in the picturesque village of Correns in the south-east corner of France has been transformed into a wedding venue and photographers and reporters from around the world have begun camping outside. Set within the stunning Provence-Alpes-Cote d’Azur region, the estate is worth a reported £35million and the couple are said to have invested £10million renovating it in anticipation of their big day. Despite bringing a media storm to the once peaceful village, local mayor Michael Latz is delighted for Brangelina and plans to help them celebrate their big day. ‘They are a wonderful couple with beautiful children and we will hold a civic reception to honour them,’ he said.

The Daily Mail report is a compendium of debunked gossip.  Just enjoy the photos.

Brad and Angelina are tipped to tie the knot this weekend. And £500,000 rings and a Red Indian prayer are just the start of the madness

The world of showbiz is holding its collective breath as gossip reaches fever pitch that Hollywood’s ultimate golden couple, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, are planning to get hitched this weekend at their sprawling South of France home.
Already the international press corps is camped outside the walled perimeter of their vast estate, Chateau Miraval, close to Aix-en-Provence, as last-minute preparations go on inside.
Brad, 48, and 37-year-old Angelina, who already have three failed marriages between them, have been lovers since 2005. They got engaged in April when he presented her with a £159,000 diamond ring.

Here, PAUL SCOTT gives you the lowdown on the celebrity wedding of the decade.

Trail run: Brad and Angelina's on-screen wedding in the movie Mr and Mrs Smith - now it's set to become a reality

A chateau fit for Hollywood royalty

Could there be a more romantic setting than the  17th-century Chateau Miraval, the 35-room estate the couple bought close to the French village of Correns four years ago? The £35 million home, set in the heart of the picturesque Var wine region, even has its own Romanesque chapel, where the couple plan to exchange vows.

And after a £10 million renovation project, personally overseen by Fight Club actor Pitt, a grand reception hall has been added this year, which will make the perfect location for the wedding party. It also has a motorcycle track, just in case the eccentric Oscar-winning actress decides to arrive for the ceremony on her beloved Italian MV Agusta 1,000 cc bike.

New watch
Afterwards, guests can wander the grounds that are filled with 20 beautiful water fountains, aqueducts and a stream that runs through hidden tunnels and into a moat and ornamental lake.
However, under French law there will also have to be a civil ceremony officiated by the local mayor at the nearby town hall.
Michael Latz, the mayor of Correns, says: ‘They are a wonderful couple with beautiful children and we will hold a civic reception to honour them.’
Locals are calling it Le Mariage de Monsieur et Madame Smith, after the Hollywood movie on whose set they met and fell for each other.

With these rings we do wed . . .

No simple bands from  H. Samuel will do. The  couple have commissioned Angelina’s private ‘jewellery consultant’ Robert Procop to design matching £500,000 wedding rings.
Mr Procop, who used to run British jewellers Asprey and Garrard, and now has his own exclusive stores in Beverly Hills, Geneva and Hong Kong, has spent all year working on the creations at his base in Cap Ferrat on the French Riviera.
The rings are made of rose gold with a tablet-cut diamond in each.
The couple’s wedding vows have been carefully carved on the inside, but the writing is so small it cannot be read by the naked eye.

Who’s on the A-list guest-list?

A smallish gathering by Hollywood standards, particularly as Angelina says she has few friends and doesn’t get out much because of her brood of six children.
She is said to have asked her 39-year-old actor brother, James Haven, to give her away — even though she has recently tentatively reconciled with her father, Midnight Cowboy actor Jon Voight, after years of estrangement and bad blood after he accused her of having ‘serious mental problems’.
Her mother, actress Marcheline Bertrand, died from ovarian cancer in 2007.
As well as Brad’s parents, Bill and Jane, his brother Doug and sister Julie are at the top of the guest list.
Jonny Depp will be invited to Brangelina's wedding
George Clooney will be invited to Brangelina's wedding

Brad’s drinking pal George Clooney (above right), who lives a short flight away on Lake Como, is also said to have received an invitation, along with fellow Hollywood stars Matt Damon, Johnny Depp (above left) and Tom Cruise. Angelina’s uncle, singer-songwriter Chip Taylor, has been invited, along with her godparents — British actress Jacqueline Bisset and Austrian actor Maximilian Schell.

According to one U.S. magazine, Brad has spent the past few months personally meeting farmers, chefs and local suppliers for private tastings to come up with an organic menu of meat and fish that includes local garlic, marjoram and a Provencal herb called sarriette.

Raise a glass . . . of Pink Floyd plonk

One of the reasons wine-buff Brad bought Chateau Miraval is because it is a working vineyard that produces a white wine called Lady Jane, a red called Natouchka, and its award-winning rose, Pink Floyd. The latter got its name after the rock group recorded part of their album, The Wall, at the estate.
There is also a stonewalled cellar, that dates back to 1850, filled with white wines from the Coteaux Varois appellation and red, white and rose from the Cotes de Provence.

Will the bride wear white?

The dress is surrounded by  the strictest secrecy.
Angelina also has a taste for Versace’s couture line, Atelier Versace — which she wore to the Oscars ceremony this year — and Salvatore Ferragamo heels.
Then again, the actress might  fool everyone and instead go the  for the stunning Fifties-style, off-the-shoulder, cream dress and  the veil she wore when she  married Pitt on screen in Mr &  Mrs Smith.
Going to the Chapel

Everyone say cheese!

The couple are rumoured to have struck a deal worth up to £30 million to sell the pictures of their happy day, with first rights going to a U.S. magazine. The proceeds are believed to be earmarked for the UN children’s charity Unicef, for which Angelina is a special envoy.
The couple also have their own charity, the Jolie-Pitt Foundation. The deal will dwarf the £20 million they earned for good causes from selling the rights to the first pictures of their twins, Knox and Vivienne, in 2008 to People magazine in the U.S. and to Hello! magazine here.
Keen snapper Brad is also sure to take his camera. In 2008, he captured intimate pictures of Miss Jolie breastfeeding the twins for the trendy W Magazine.

Keeping out the gatecrashers

Teams of motorbike-riding guards, led by the head of security at Chateau Miraval, Tony Webb, will be patrolling the 1,000-acre grounds on the lookout for paparazzi who could jeopardise that multi-million pound picture deal. After the birth of  Knox and Vivienne, two camouflaged French photographers, who hid in a nearby forest trying to get photographs, claimed they were given a rough time by Brad’s band of highly-trained minders.
A purpose-built surveillance centre with cameras and state-of-the art infrared devices has since been installed on the estate.

The Bridesmaids and Pageboys

The couple’s ‘rainbow coalition’ of six children from different continents have long been putting pressure on their parents to tie the knot, says Brad, so they can be bridesmaids and pages at the wedding.
The couple are parents to adopted orphans Maddox, 11, from Cambodia, eight-year-old Pax, from Vietnam, and Ethiopian girl Zahara, seven. They also have three biological children, daughter Shiloh, six, and four-year-old twins — son Knox and daughter Vivienne.
Brad’s younger brother Doug, 46, and his wife Lisa also have three children who are expected to be given roles in the service. His sister Julie, 43, is also the mother of twins.

Sailing off into the sunset

Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen has offered the couple the use of his 400ft yacht, Octopus (below), for their honeymoon at a later date. It has two helipads, a pool, nightclub, basketball court, cinema and two submarines (just in case it is necessary to make a quick escape from the paparazzi).

The 59-year-old billionaire, who is a long-time friend of Brangelina, is said, jokingly, to have made the offer on condition they let the amateur rock band in which he plays guitar perform at the wedding.
But with pals Bono and The Edge of U2 living a few miles away in the village of Eze, there should be no problem putting together a house band for the post-wedding shindig.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie announced their engagement in April but have not publicly set a wedding date.

A French mayor on Tuesday denied a report in celebrity magazine Hello that quoted him saying Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, who own a chateau nearby, were due to get married this weekend.
The A-list Hollywood couple own the 17th-century Chateau Miraval in southeastern France, and celebrity publications have been rife with rumors in recent weeks that they were planning to wed soon.
"I don't know who they are," said Michael Latz, mayor of the village of Correns where the couple dubbed "Brangelina" have their chateau, when asked if he had spoken to Hello.
He said he was not aware of any wedding, and added: "It's nonsense. I've had 50 phone calls and I am telling everyone to get lost because this is tiresome and irritates me.
"I am going to pursue them (Hello) for misleading statements."
Hello magazine reported on its website on Tuesday that the mayor had said Jolie and Pitt would marry this weekend, although it did not quote him directly.
Jolie, 37, and Pitt, 48, announced their engagement in April but have not publicly set a wedding date. The couple have been together since 2005 and are raising six children.

French mayor says Brad and Angelina will get hitched this weekend

14 AUGUST 2012 Hollywood's most anticipated wedding didn't go ahead as rumoured last weekend. But it could be that reports Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were going to get hitched were just a week off the mark.

According the mayor of the French village where the Tinseltown golden couple own a home, they will wed this coming weekend.

Michael Latz, who presides over Correns in southeast France, would likely conduct the legal ceremony in the town hall.

Then the couple would be able to cap off celebrations in their £35-million Chateau Miraval estate, which is nestled in the beautiful Provence countryside.

Whether the wedding goes ahead remains to be seen, but much seems to be in place for the nuptials to go ahead.

Jeweler Robert Procop – former boss of British jewellers Asprey & Garrard – has reportedly finished making matching £500,000 bands for the couple – and now they're ready to go.

A source says: "Robert's been busy all year making Brad and Angie's wedding rings.

"They are matching rose gold bands with a tablet-cut diamond in them and their vows to each other engraved in them.

"You can't see it with the naked eye but they both know they're there."

BRAD Pitt and Angelina Jolie have gathered their nearest and dearest at their £35 million home, Château Miraval, in the south of France.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie tricked us all into thinking their nuptials were going ahead on Friday last week, but Michael Latz – mayor of the nearby village of Correns – revealed it is ‘more likely’ the couple’s wedding will take place this coming weekend.

The pair have been keeping their marriage on hold after they insisted they wouldn't wed until the legalisation of same-sex marriage in America but Brad is struggling to wait any longer.

He said: "We made this declaration some time ago that we weren't going to get married till everyone can.

"But I don't think we'll be alb to hold out…it means something to me, to make that kind of commitment."

THOSE WEB REPORTS ABOUT BRANGELINA MARRYING? FORGET THEM

August 13, 2012 by

The Internet as an alternate source for news took a beating over the weekend when Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie did not get married in France, as numerous celebrity and gossip websites had been predicting. Some actually included the names on the supposed guest list. “Even Angelina’s private jeweler is here,” reported Rupert Murdoch’s London tabloid, The Sun, whose unsourced reports were picked up internationally by gossip blogs. According to one report, the couple’s wedding bands cost $783,300 each. Paparazzi descended on the couple’s home, Chateau Miraval, in the south of France, anxious to record the arrival of the invitees, including, it was said, close relatives of Pitt and Jolie. But the photogs and their gossip cohorts turned out to be the only arrivals. And as the weekend ended, the “mainstream media” were noting that in France weddings may not be held in private residences. An official in the village of Correns told Reuters: “Under French law couples have to get married at the town hall.” But did the non-event quiet the gossip sites? Not for a minute. An Irish website remarked, “Makes you wonder if perhaps the couple pulled the wool over, well, the whole world’s eyes and got married somewhere else.” Another, CelebDirtyLaundry.com, commented, “OK, I’ve been wrong before. Believe it or not, we don’t try to mislead. Media vans were camped out. Villagers were talking. I actually thought something might go down. Yet it didn’t. But guess what? NEXT WEEK is the real date. I’m not crying wolf this time! Next week we’ll see a married Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Trust me!”

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie order £1M wedding rings

Splashing out ... Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have commissioned two £500,000 wedding bands

BRAD Pitt and Angelina Jolie probably won’t risk taking their wedding rings off to do the washing up – not after commissioning two £500,000 bands from their jeweller Robert Procop.

The former boss of British jewellers Asprey & Garrard has been busy producing matching bands for them at the Grand Hotel du Cap Ferrat, in the south of France. And now they’re done and ready to go.
A source said: “Robert’s been busy all year making Brad and Angie’s wedding rings.
“They are matching rose gold bands with a tablet-cut diamond in them and their vows to each other engraved in them.
“You can’t see it with the naked eye but they both know they’re there.”
According to Michael Latz, who is mayor of the village of Correns near Brad and Angelina’s home, the couple are due to finally get hitched this weekend.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt (fondly known to fans of the power couple as 'Brangelina') are rumoured to have married this weekend in a private chapel ceremony...
There has been a great deal of anticipation this weekend, as it seemed as if the long-awaited Jolie-Pitt wedding was set to take place at the pair's private French estate.
Despite sources telling Reuters that the Brangelina wedding couldn't go ahead this weekend due to legal issues, they did let slip one crucial piece of information:
"Under French law couples have to get married at the town hall... Unlike with a religious wedding, there's no way a couple can hold a civil ceremony at their own home."
However, according to the Daily Mail, the pair have a private chapel on their estate - perfect for an at-home-and-perfectly-legal religious ceremony.
"After their engagement was announced it was learnt that a huge reception hall was under construction at the Provence home. Aerial images of the site in February showed a large white building being erected next to the quaint chapel."
Intriguing.
A source also revealed to The Sun newspaper that, amongst the guests gathered for the supposed 50th wedding anniversary of Brad Pitt's parents, is the private jeweller who designed Angelina Jolie's custom engagement ring:
"Brad flew in to oversee preparations but they’re all here now... They say it’s for Jane and Bill, but some think this could be it. Even Angelina’s private jeweller is here."
Perhaps that private jeweller is there with two brand-new custom rings? Maybe two WEDDING BAND style rings, set to be debuted in that oh-so-private religious ceremony?
Unfortunately, due to the nature of the ceremony and the security surrounding the estate, whether the couple did have a wedding will not be confirmed until either Brad or Angelina's reps make an announcement.
We have our confetti ready...

“
The wedding would “most likely take place on August 18”

BRAD PITT AND ANGELINA JOLIE WED THIS WEEK

12th August 2012

By Daily Star Reporter

BRAD Pitt and Angelina Jolie will marry on their French estate next weekend, a local mayor claimed yesterday.

A marquee has already been erected at Chateau Miraval in the southern Var region.

And increased deliveries of food and champagne have been spotted in preparation for the showbusiness spectacular.

But a helicopter pilot who flew across the £35million estate yesterday said it was “all but deserted”.

“There’s nobody around at all,” said the pilot. “You can’t even see a single security guard, let alone any of the catering staff or other essential staff for a big wedding.”

Mickael Latz, the mayor of the nearby village of Correns, said the wedding would “most likely take place on August 18”.

“It’s a likely date,” he said. “There are no plans for a civil wedding in Correns this weekend.”

There have been claims that Brad’s parents Bill and Jane are at Chateau Miraval already.

Guests set to attend the wedding include George Clooney, 51, who is just a short flight away at his home on Lake Como, Italy.

It is thought that Brad, 48, and Angelina, 37, will wed in a private chapel in the grounds

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie the wedding pictures!

Ok, these aren't the actual pictures of their wedding, and we don't even know if they got married today, but if they did, this is what it'd look like

We'd like to think that, if Ange did marry Brad, she'd make him shave that mane of hair off
It's here! The magical day: Saturday 11 August. And we don't just mean it's seven days until The X Factor is on TV (although we're pretty excited about that too) - we mean it's the rumoured date of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's wedding!

Does Brad look at these pictures (from Mr and Mrs Smith, obvs) and think 'I must get rid of this beard'?
It's heavily rumoured that the pair are set to tie the knot at their French home, Chateau Miraval, because of the following facts:
1 They've built a massive reception hall
2 They got engaged earlier this year
And er, that's it. But then, Mummy and Daddy Pitt (that's Jane and Bill to you) arrived at the house yesterday and we got all excited that today's the day!

Brad looks a bit drunk here, which is exactly how you're supposed to look on your wedding day.
Brad's taken time off filming a cameo in The Counsellor, and Angelina was in London filming Maleficent, but the pair have decided to take their six children to France for a holiday. Or a WEDDING.

Their children -  Maddox, 10, Pax, eight, Zahara, seven, five-year-old Shiloh and twins Knox and Vivienne, aged three - are all there with them, but there's no sign of Angelina's dad, Jon Voight. Possibly because he's a bit of a chatty mouth when it comes to their lives. He's not the best secret keeper, let's put it that way.

Brad and Ange: PLEASE get married and release cute pictures like these!

The couple got engaged in April, saying their children were the driving force behind the decision. "Yes, it's confirmed. It is a promise for the future and their kids are very happy. There's no date set at this time," Brad's spokesperson said at the time.

Take note, Angelina: white is very you

So, enjoy these pictures from their 2005 film Mr and Mrs Smith, then tell all your friends you attended Brad and Ange's top secret wedding ceremony. You liked the chicken main course, but thought the Eton Mess pudding needed more cream. Got it?

X17 EXCLUSIVE - Brad Pitt And Angelina Jolie NOT Marrying This Weekend

Posted on Fri Aug 10, 2012 08:05 AM PDT

We sent an X17 photographer all the way down to the south of France -- it's pretty much in the middle of nowhere -- to check out Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's chateau Miraval to see just what's going on and ... drumroll, please ... there's NOTHING going on!

French media were reporting Thursday that the couple was set to wed tomorrow, Saturday, Aug 11, but X17online can tell you, the wedding isn't on, just yet.
Our photographer says:
"There are NO security guards, NO workers, NO party planners -- NOTHING at the property. As I drove around, checking out the scene from the street below the private hillside, I saw nothing out of the ordinary. It was quiet, just like the sleepy village of Correns next to it. Business as usual at Chateau Brangelina."
We'll have the photos and video to prove it, coming up later. Our photographer's in a helicopter over the property now!

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Wedding Rumors Flare Up – Cool Down Fast

08/10/2012 at 04:20 PM EDT

Forget garden-variety buzz. The possibility that Brad Pitt is marrying Angelina Jolie this weekend in France is getting "real buzz."

So says an excited but unnamed source to the U.K's Sun, based on rumors that the couple are hosting some kind of event at their château with guests including Pitt's parents and Jolie's engagement-ring jeweler.

But multiple sources tell PEOPLE there is no wedding this weekend. (Reps did not respond for comment.) The local newspaper Var Matin also shot down a France 3 TV report of a Saturday wedding. And officials in the village say they don't know anything about it and that it likely couldn't happen anyway.

"Under French law couples have to get married at the town hall," Patrick Mareschi, deputy culture secretary of the nearby village of Correns, tells Reuters. "Unlike with a religious wedding, there's no way a couple can hold a civil ceremony at their own home."

Which is pretty much what the photo agency X17 found out. It grumbled on its website:

"We sent an X17 photographer all the way down to the south of France – it's pretty much in the middle of nowhere – to check out Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's chateau Miraval to see just what's going on and ... drumroll, please ... there's NOTHING going on!" the site says.

Not only did its photographer not find any signs the couple, engaged last spring, were tying the knot – no security guards, no party planners – it didn't even see evidence of other rumors that Pitt was hosting a wedding anniversary party for his parents.

Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie Wedding Won’t Be Taking Place in France This Weekend!

Posted by Adam

BRAD Pitt and Angelina Jolie won’t be marrying this weekend — People magazine insists.
Sources tell the publication that, despite speculation that started when an an unnamed source told British newspaper The Sun that Brad and Angie are hosting some kind of event at their château, the wedding won’t be taking place just yet.
The local newspaper Var Matin also shot down a France 3 TV report of a Saturday wedding. And officials in the village say they don’t know anything about it and that it likely couldn’t happen anyway.
“Under French law couples have to get married at the town hall,” Patrick Mareschi, deputy culture secretary of the nearby village of Correns, told Reuters. “Unlike with a religious wedding, there’s no way a couple can hold a civil ceremony at their own home.”
Photo agency X17 found out the hard way when they sent a papparazo to France.
“We sent an X17 photographer all the way down to the south of France – it’s pretty much in the middle of nowhere – to check out Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s chateau Miraval to see just what’s going on and … drumroll, please … there’s NOTHING going on!” the site says.
Brad, 48, recently bought Angelina, 37, a $500,000 watch as a pre-wedding gift.
Meanwhile, it’s been claimed that Brad and Angelina have been named as victims of phone hacking allegedly carried out by journalists at the News of the World.
Britain’s Guardian newspaper says two members of staff at the paper — which was closed down last year — conspired to intercept the voicemail messages of Eunice Huthart, an associate of Pitt and Jolie, and other unnamed people connected to the actors.
Huthart is a former stunt double for Jolie and participant in the Gladiators game show.
The actors’ names emerged as prosecutors announced charges against eight people, including Andy Coulson, the former director of communications for the British prime minister, David Cameron, and Rebekah Brooks, the former chief executive of News International.
On Monday, police said they believed there were 4,775 potential victims of phone hacking, of whom 2,615 had been notified.

Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie's Wedding Reportedly Happening This Weekend

Preparations for a big bash at the Hollywood power couple's French chateau, plus the arrival of Pitt's parents and their LA jeweler, may - or may not - translate to wedding bells.

Are Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie finally tying the knot? That's what the increasing hullabaloo on their South of France estate -- Chateau Miraval -- indicates to the media. But other sources say no wedding is happening this weekend.
Brad's parents reportedly have arrived at Chateau Miraval, and Los Angeles jeweler Robert Procop, who made Angelina's $250,000 diamond and platinum engagement ring, also is said to be flying in.

Some have speculated that the bash is for Pitt's parents, Jane and Bill, but with Angelina’s jeweler there, it seems likely that it is something more. George Clooney, who lives in Lake Cuomo in Italy, is said to be flying in for the occasion.
Our sources on the ground say there is large tent outside the Chateau. “It’s really happening," one source says.
But not so fast say other sources. Var Matin, the local newspaper for Correns, dismissed talk of a wedding this weekend. The newspaper speculates the wedding will take place Aug. 18.
People reported that "multiple sources" also told the the magazine that no wedding was planned for this weekend.
The couple's engagement was revealed in April by The Hollywood Reporter. After the engagement went public, construction for a large hall began at their Provence estate. Aerial images of the chateau and grounds in February showed a large white building being erected next to a quaint chapel.
The 1,000-acre estate -- a reported $54 million investment -- is the perfect spot for a secluded family wedding. The security is always tight around the estate, but has gotten even tighter in recent weeks: We're talking armed guards, security cameras, the works.

Despite the media speculation, Patrick Mareschi, deputy culture secretary of the nearby village of Correns, has told Reuters: "Under French law, couples have to get married at the town hall. Unlike with a religious wedding, there's no way a couple can hold a civil ceremony at their own home."
But applying for a marriage license in the States or in France would set off major media alarms. And it makes perfect sense to have a private and protected wedding on their estate.
Angelina has been married twice before: first to British actor Jonny Lee Miller from 1996-99, then to Billy Bob Thornton from 2000-03. Brad's marriage to Jennifer Aniston lasted five years before they announced they were divorcing in early 2005.
The power couple known as Brangelina quickly amassed a family of six children: Maddox, 10; Pax, 8; Zahara, 7; Shiloh, 5; and twins Knox and Vivienne, 3.
Although they've insisted that they would not wed until the U.S. legalization of same-sex marriage, Brad admitted during the Cannes Film Festival in May that they've been under increasing pressure from their children. At the time, he maintained that they had not set a date. Angelina also has said that their brood has asked why the parents aren't married -- like Shrek and Fiona.
"We've explained to them that our commitment, when we decided to start a family, was the greatest commitment you could possibly have," she said recently during an interview with ABC News. "Once you have six children, you're committed."

So, is there really a wedding in store?! Melanie Bromley joins us from London to set the record straight on today's episode of Live From E!

Angelina Jolie’s Aunt Reveals New Wedding Details: ‘Something That Nobody Has Seen Before’ (EXCLUSIVE)

As rumors swirl that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie will marry this weekend at their French estate, Chateau Miraval, one of the actress’ closest confidants is speaking out about the wedding.
“I think it will be very personalized and something that nobody has seen before,” Jolie’s “aunt” Jade Dixon said in an exclusive interview.
“I think it will be very small, intimate and memorable. I don’t see them doing it big but easier to control. I see it small and still flashy and more in tune with involving their children.”
As for the wedding’s location?

Dixon believes it will indeed be held at their Chateau Miraval home, though she did not confirm a date.
“It could definitely be at one of their houses so it would be very intimate,” she admitted. “I’m guessing that is probably where it will be because it’s more private there.”

No Cannes List

EXCLUSIVE: Thierry Frémaux Says No Leak At Cannes Film Festival; “It’s All Lies”

By NANCY TARTAGLIONE, International Editor | Tuesday, 3 April 2012 10:06 UK

EXCLUSIVE: Yesterday a French blog released a list of what it contended was the official Cannes selection for 2012. The blog said the list had been briefly published on the official Cannes Film Festival website before hastily being pulled down. A number of other sites have picked up the list, but Deadline will not. This was an April Fools joke, and not a very funny one. I spoke to Cannes general delegate and artistic director Thierry Frémaux this morning who tells me “There was no internet leak.” Indeed, it would be impossible for the list to leak given it’s not completed and, as Frémaux says, “The selection is in my head.” He further tells me, “This is all lies and it’s disgusting to play with such a thing. Cannes is an institution and must be preserved. There is a code of conduct for Cannes and it must be respected. Those who don’t respect the code, will never come back to Cannes.” Wild Bunch’s Vincent Maraval put the list down to an irresponsible prank telling me that some of his own films that appeared on the list have not even been seen by Frémaux. There were a couple of titles on the list that have been the source of wide speculation, but the official Cannes press conference takes place on April 19 and Frémaux and his team will be screening films and honing their selection until the very last minute. End of story.

Accidental Leak of Potential Cannes Entries, Removed from Official Site

Justin Chang (@justinCCang) on Twitter announced that this list had to be a fake-out, writing “@AwardsDaily If it’s real I’ll eat my beret. Fremaux et al. are still screening films and won’t set the lineup until April 19.”
But anyway, put into google translate it reads, more or less, that it was posted on the Cannes official and then quickly removed:

Maleficent rumors

Life & Style Exclusive: Everyone Wants to Play Angelina Jolie's Lover in Maleficent

Angelina Jolie is one of the world's most desirable women so it's understandable that Hollywood's leading actors are clamoring for the role of her lover in the upcoming CGI and live-action film Maleficent!

A source tells Life & Style that Jim Sturgess, 30, has shown interest in playing the role of Diaval.

"Diaval is an Irish man with black hair, dark eyes and a slight Irish accent. When he's first seen in the movie, he's not a human, but a bird. Angie's character, Maleficent, turns him into a man." Then, says a source who's read the script, "they become lovers."

And the 21 actor isn't the only one who wants the role.

"Gael Garcia Bernal has shown interest, too," the source reveals.

The film is about the tale of Sleeping Beauty told from the perspective of the princess' evil nemesis, Maleficent.
"It's a really great script," Angelina, 36, recently said about the film. "I'm having a lot of fun. I've already got my horns fitted. My kids are very happy.... It sounds really crazy to say that there will be something that's good for young girls in this because it sounds like you're saying they should be a villain. [Maleficent] is actually a great person. But she's not perfect. She's far from perfect."

Also joining the film could be Jude Law as the character Stefan, who is half human, half fairy and the father of Aurora, a.k.a. Sleeping Beauty.

"The role has been offered to Jude," the source tells Life & Style. "Angelina also appeared with him in the movie Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow."

Other actors rumored to have been approached are Patrick Stewart for the role of King Henry, Judi Dench and Emma Thompson for Flittle and Elle Fanning as Aurora.

Shooting is slated to start in June.
