“She and Akala are not dating. She is friends with him and his partner, Chanelle, who was also there,” one source tells PEOPLE on Thursday, Aug. 29.

Prior to the photographs of the two at the film festival, In Touch claimed in May that the actress, 49, had been privately seeing the British musician, 40, for “more than a year.”

The Oscar-winning actress has been friends with Akala for “several years,” a second source tells PEOPLE. Jolie, 49, is currently single and not dating seriously, the source confirms.

“They share the same passion when it comes to social and humanitarian causes,” the second source tells PEOPLE. “They did several collabs over the years that focus on global issues like human rights. Angie speaks very highly of him.”

Not dating seriously.   Not in quotes so we don't know if that's just the writer adding "seriously."

Venice was just a quick 2-day stay to check out the Biennale.

It's good Brad has his T-shirts in different colors so we can tell the days apart.

If he flew in from the South of France he would have flown out of Nice.  There is no airport in Cannes.  The transport company is referring figuratively to his appearance at the Cannes film festival, not flight info.  Client details esp. for a VIP would be closely guarded and treated confidentially by a meet and greet airport service.  It would not be blithely divulged to gain attention (and lose clients) on Instagram. 

All his clothes for the short stay must have fit in the duffel he was seen carrying when he arrived.  It's highly unlikely that Brad would have looked so bleary-eyed and tired when he landed in Venice if all he had was a one hour hop from Nice.  If he was just staying in Miraval, he could have arrived earlier in the day so they could head to the Biennale straightaway instead of sleeping overnight first.  If he has been in Europe since May 19, hanging out with his friends after OUATIH, he would be well-rested and fully recovered from jet-lag.  He would not have fallen asleep midday in a water taxi.

Так значит я о Биеннале или о том как встретить Бреда Пита , уже не секрет что он был на #биеннале2019 , но все же к теме Венеция , поездка в первый раз для меня в этот город на воде! стала прям культовой, долго собирались и всё-таки этот день настал. Венеция конечно впечатлила ещё в поезде, подъезжая смотришь, а кругом вода. Я сначала как то по другому её представляла! Город рядом с морем, а вокруг и какие то там каналы с лодочками, а нет. Это реальный город на воде. Без машин и передвижение только по воде на лодках... ах романтика))) Но целью поездки - посещение Биеннале, значит Giardini, Arsenale! и Accademia!! Очень впечатлило конечно на Arsenale , есть на что посмотреть и очень даже, тем кто собрался советую посетить ! Ну а Giardini так себе, как говорят, «там каждый год так себе». Хотя, в этом году к Giardini с моей стороны никаких претензий , они оправдали себя полностью в эмоциональном плане, что так случайно в павильоне мы встречаем кого?! Сам Голливуд, такой себе простой в кепке сицилийской идёт мирный житель, сам Brad Pitt. OMG Я что, конечно же пристала к нему с perfavore foto.. но он со всей своей скромностью мне улыбнулся и отказал..хм эмоционально!!! Но я же буду преследовать, не каждый день так можно встретить человека-легенду! Эх, вышли пару тройку видео и фото. Ну не хотел он огласки своего присутствия, что попросил please no 🤫. А в павильонах, уже лицо рукой закрывал, от моей видимости, ну так уж и быть сжалюсь человек же всё-таки, такой обычный в кепке сицилийка, отстану от тебя, я же воспитанна 💅 Вернусь к биеннале 2019. Стоит, стоит, стоит посетить Арсенале. Очень много арт- сцен представленных в этом году , которые действительно заставляют задуматься над происходящим в наше время, это надо видеть, к сожалению у меня за один день не получилось увидеть всех арт сцен и скорее всего я вернусь до смотреть. Так, что друзья приезжайте в Венецию, посетите Биеннале до 24 ноября, много туристов, много воды, случайные встречи. As was his clear message when he posed smoking for Esquire, he's not hiding the fact that he still smokes -- but wants to emphasize that he doesn't drink and unlike Leo and QT, didn't want to pose with a drink for the photo shoot.
