Wolfs



Unlike George and Amal, Brad didn't pose with Ines on the red carpet. They posed for photos beside their car when they arrived, and just off the carpet where they were joined by George and Amal. Never on the carpet itself with its banks of photographers on both sides.  Which meant they left Ines on the sidelines while they proceeded to pose on the red carpet.

It reduced the number of photos of them at the premiere but I don't know that that makes a huge difference. Any one will do.

In the video below, George and Amal share a kiss while Ines, sitting beside Amal, stays seated. She is one of the few in the immediate vicinity not participating in the standing ovation -- or even seated ovation. Brad only briefly glances back at Ines, he talks with Amal but not Ines. He reaches back but quickly turns away and has no other interaction with her. It is not til almost the end of the ovation clip that Ines gets up.  

I feel any invited guest would have stood up and joined in the ovation immediately- like Cate Blanchett, who can be seen standing and applauding a few rows back. 

I don't think this is entirely on Ines.  I think they are following a script designed to purposely subvert the narrative.

At the very least, he and Ines have to be friends on some level. What they are really beyond that, is the question. 

Tellingly, photos show him landing back in L.A. accompanied only by his long-time make-up artist, Jean Black.  The line about her in dm is hilarious.

Brad Pitt and George Clooney hugged and danced at the Venice Film Festival on Sunday night as the two megastars’ latest film, “Wolfs,” received a four-minute standing ovation.

The premiere itself was delayed by over 30 minutes as fans crowded into Venice’s Sala Grande in an attempt to catch a glimpse at Pitt and Clooney. When the duo finally arrived inside, the sound — and general vibe — in the theater could only be described as carnal. Both actors took to different sides of the carpet, signing autographs and taking selfies, before being whisked away to their seats by security.

VENICE, Sept 1 (Reuters) - Hollywood heavyweights George Clooney and Brad Pitt admit they are disappointed their latest comedy "Wolfs" is not getting a broad cinema release and instead heading almost straight onto Apple TV.

"It is a bummer," Clooney said on Sunday, adding that television streamers, such as Apple (AAPL.O), were nevertheless vital to the future of filmmaking, presenting actors with opportunities and generating bigger audiences for their work.

"Streaming, we need it, our industry needs this," he said.

Apple originally signalled it would place the film in a large number of cinemas before the TV release, but instead opted to show it briefly in a restricted number of U.S. movie theatres and then run it on its global TV service.

"We'll always be romantic about the theatrical experience. At the same time, I love the existence of the streamers because we get to see more story, we get to see more talent, it gets more eyes," said Pitt. "It's a delicate balance right now and it'll right itself."

Asked what it meant if two of the biggest names in the business could not get a broad cinema release, as they had requested, Clooney quipped: "Clearly we're declining."

Standing in a swaying boat taxi instead of sitting down is not easy to do, esp. while wearing 4" stilettos.  An obvious effort to be seen and photographed but not sure why since the red carpet is coming up.  

This will be their most high-profile outing to-date, and their only outing together after the British Grand Prix since she did not make any appearance in Miraval, Lake Como or Iceland.   It's back to work.

New security since Tony Webb was with Nicole Kidman.

His PR's latest People post repeats the same assurances that the "relationship is going strong", "He's serious about Ines," "He's very happy and enjoys spending time with her." They apparently feel there is a need for public reinforcement at this time.


Above, helping her stay upright by pinning her with his right arm while his right hand holds onto the roof.  And below, his right upper arm and elbow pressing on her left shoulder and side.  Both her arms appear to be on the roof since her shoulders are even.  His shoulders slope down as his right forearm is visible and angled to his front.   I would posit that actually holding on to her would be more efficient and effective.





Brad Pitt and Ines de Ramon's relationship is going strong after the pair enjoyed "a great summer together," according to a source.

"Brad's been working in Europe, so they've spent a lot of time there," the source exclusively tells PEOPLE.

"He's serious about Ines," the source adds. "He's very happy and enjoys spending time with her. She's easygoing and everyone likes her."
