PR releases are as notable for what they say as for what they sweep under the rug.  In this instance, perhaps even more so.

Angelina Jolie makes sure to always show support for her children.

An exclusive source tells PEOPLE that the actress and doting mom, 50, has an "amazing relationship" with her daughter Zahara, 21, who recently graduated from Spelman College. The insider adds that Jolie shows up for "pretty much everything" her daughter is involved in.

"Angie has showed up for pretty much everything — move-in weekend, sorority events, milestone celebrations and now graduation," the source tells PEOPLE. "She's been very supportive and involved. She wanted Zahara to have the best experience, and she has an amazing relationship with Zahara."

Alongside Zahara, Jolie and her ex-husband Brad Pitt, share twins Vivienne and Knox, 17, plus daughter Shiloh, 19, and sons Pax, 22, and Maddox, 24. The insider went on to say the Eternals star encourages all of her children to embrace their full individuality, adding that raising her kids and being a mom "makes her the happiest."

"She really encourages all the kids to embrace their individualities. She always loved their different personalities, interests and talents," the source says. "She makes an effort to support what matters to each of them."

"She's the kind of mom who genuinely wants to be present for the important moments in their lives, and the kids love her," the insider adds. "They often tell her she's the best mom, and it makes her tear up. Motherhood is very emotional for her. It makes her the happiest."

Zahara Jolie.  Credit for the photos is to "The Jolie Family."

Essence originally posted the video of Zahara's AKA introduction identifying her as Zahara Marley Jolie.  The post was "Last edited 9:47 PM · Nov 15, 2023" to change it to Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt.

Zahara proclaiming "Jolie" may or may not have been pre-planned, but now that it is out, they decided to pivot and embrace it.  Angelina is the head of the family

Brad and Pitt are not the only names not mentioned in the article. Shiloh, Knox, and Vivienne were not in attendance and were not mentioned either.

This is not the whole family, just half of it.

This is not the whole story, it is part of it.

THE JOLIE FAMILY

BY VICTORIA UWUMAROGIE · UPDATED NOVEMBER 18, 2023

While all of the Internet aunties beamed with pride watching Zahara Jolie cross and officially become a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated on the campus of Spelman University, no one was more proud of the 18-year-old than her family.

Mom Angelina Jolie and brothers Maddox and Pax flew down to Atlanta to celebrate her big moment, and they shared exclusive images with ESSENCE.

“Angie is very proud for Zahara,” says a source close to the Oscar-winning star and mom of six. “She is impressed by her choice to work hard, her interest in service and her wish to join the AKA sisterhood – one of the many impressive HCBU sororities. It meant so much to Angie and Zahara’s siblings to be there to support her, and to congratulate all the other girls.”

Angelina was photographed with Zahara, Maddox and Pax at an event where the newest members of the “Sweet” Mu Pi chapter were presented. They also photographed Zahara walking in singing “I Finally Became (an AKA).”

THE JOLIE FAMILY

At the event, Jacqueline Walters, physician Dr. Jackie of Married to Medicine fame, and a proud AKA, was the keynote speaker. Walters said it was one of the highlights of her day, alongside welcoming “these intelligent, articulate and amazing 50 new sorors!”

According to the source close to Angelina, Zahara worked for months to be a part of the organization. Service means a great deal to her and that is what she is most looking forward to as an AKA. They also shared that while attending Spelman and amid her efforts to become an AKA, she was able to keep up her grades, finding time to volunteer and work as an RA, too.

Zahara began her undergraduate studies at the historically Black liberal arts college for women in 2022 and is already making an impact. She’s sure to make an even greater one now.

Random Fuzzy

Zahara's truth.  The clear and unvarnished truth.

Zahara is expressing her affection and appreciation for her mother.  She did not feel her father merited equal acknowledgment.

Zahara's intro laid bare the state of the children's relationship with Brad.   It confirms what was outlined in Wasser's email exchange with Spiegel.  This was always about the children's desire and ability to be with Brad.

Zahara had been very close to Brad.  From what is known about what transpired on the plane, she was mainly a witness and not specifically targeted during his rants.  Unlike her older brothers, she and the younger kids are not known to have declined Brad's monitored visits in the months immediately after the incident.  How she feels towards Brad is as good as it gets for him among the children.  It remains far from what it was before his rampage.

The therapeutic process has been completed and the mental health experts have testified that the kids are now able to be with Brad, but his relationship with them has been changed forever.  The plane incident necessitated years of trauma therapy.  The attempts by Brad's team to deny the truth and shift the blame made things worse.  The children's trust and respect for him were badly shaken and it took several years before the mental health experts were satisfied that their relationship had sufficiently healed.  Angelina placed everything on hold to help the children and the family heal.  The children's love for her is self-evident.

By Brad's own admission:
"When I get in trouble it's because of my hubris."

"I spent years with a low-grade depression, and it’s not until coming to terms with that, trying to embrace all sides of self—the beauty and the ugly—that I’ve been able to catch those moments of joy."
"not till recently that I have had a greater embrace of my friends and family."

There is apparently no desire by anyone to talk about Zahara's intro.   It is what it is.

This belies all claims of a custody dispute more recently used in their false narrative extension wranglings.

At some point, they should be more forthcoming.  The whole truth will out.

Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt has gained a whole new group of sisters!

The daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt has joined the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority at Spelman College.

Zahara introduced herself to her new sisters by saying, “My name is Zahara Marley Jolie. And [I] landed all the way from the Golden State in the city full of angels: Los Angeles, California.”

In a new video from Essence, the sophomore, 18, is seen alongside her fellow Alpha Kappa Alpha sisters. She dances as she introduces herself to the enthusiastic crowd.

The Spelman undergraduate joined the Mu Pi Chapter of the first historically Black sorority. Alpha Kappa Alpha was founded in 1908, with the Mu Pi chapter being established in 1979.

Zahara began her undergraduate career at the HBCU in 2022 and was seen alongside her mother, 48, on move-in day that August.

“My name is Zahara Marley Jolie,” she said while shaking her hair and performing a series of moves.

“Coming all the way from the Golden State in the city that is full of angels, Los Angeles, California … I am this line’s number seven.”

Zahara left several fans in awe for “representing her roots,” while others couldn’t believe how fast she has grown up.

“πŸ₯Ή Girl! She found her tribe..πŸ‘πŸΎ Angelina did a great job. Culture and dynamics,” one person commented on the video.

Spelman is just as excited about Zahara’s arrival as her mother. President Gayle tells ET, "We are honored that Zahara Jolie-Pitt and her family chose Spelman College, and we welcome Zahara enthusiastically into the Spelman sisterhood,” the school's president said.

“As the #1 HBCU in the country, there’s no place quite like Spelman, which has been an incubator for Black women’s education and excellence for more than 140 years. As well, it has a global network of alumnae that have and continue to change the world.”

Holloman echoed the president’s sentiments telling ET, “Spelman College is a magical place that provides excellence in education and a student life environment that is inclusive and diverse and allows women from different cultures and circumstances to be quickly integrated into Spelman life,” the Vice President for Student Affairs said.

“It warms our hearts to see Zahara, among 575 freshmen, on campus bonding with her Spelman sisters.”

Angelina Jolie was feeling all the emotions she moved her 17-year-old daughter, Zahara, into her Spelman College dorm room on Wednesday.

“I’m gonna start crying. I have not started crying yet,” Jolie, 47, told vice president for student affairs, Darryl Holloman, in a video posted to his Instagram.

In the clip, the actor is seen standing next to the school’s president, Dr. Helene Gayle, who assures her that she will have “plenty of time to cry” at one of the upcoming ceremonies.

Gayle then jokes that these events were created to "induce" tears from parents.

“I heard tomorrow night’s the big night,” Jolie says. “I’m holding it together.”

When Holloman asks Jolie how it feels to be a Spelman mom, she crosses her hands over her chest.

“I’m so excited. I’m so excited," she replies.

Holloman also shared a picture of himself with Jolie and Zahara in what appears to be her freshman dorm room.
