Over the past few months they have been dropping many hints that they are about to emerge from this 4-year odyssey / ordeal. Sydney Pitt's photo was the latest and the biggest but it was setup by Angelina's words in Harpers Bazaar this past June. Let us revisit and update.

For the first time, she brought up Brad and their family situation in the Q&A released for World Refugee Day. These Q&As are an alternative form to writing a straight essay and she made several for Mon Guerlain. Unlike a straight essay, she is able to jump to different topics she wants to touch on.  Both the Qs as well as the As are hers. She avoided doing a one-on-one cover interview for Maleficent MoE last year presumably to avoid being asked about Brad, but by June this year, they knew they had turned the corner and would soon be out of this.  Her very carefully chosen words provided the first strong hints:

Q "After choosing to separate from your partner and children’s father, actor Brad Pitt, how have you sustained a healthy environment for your children?"

A "I separated for the wellbeing of my family. It was the right decision. I continue to focus on their healing. Some have taken advantage of my silence, and the children see lies about themselves in the media, but I remind them that they know their own truth and their own minds."

- With "choosing to separate","I separated" she completely ignored the existence of the divorce case. In the past, they avoided saying "divorce" by referring to it as "the filing","the events that led to the filing." This time, she treated it like it does not exist at all. She is saying they had to separate to allow the children to heal but the divorce case is not part of their truth. It is not what it appears to be, it isn't real, and thus should be totally ignored. They know Sydney Pitt is something of a social media star so through her, they wanted to reiterate that the legal dance should be simply ignored.  Instead, they wanted to show what is their actual truth.  The multi-day family reunion and celebration for Jane Pitt's 80th birthday was strictly for immediate family.  It was just her and Bill, their children and their children's families staying in their son's California homes. The birthday reunion's farewell brunch that Brad and Angelina held at the DeMille unequivocally and indisputably shows that a) Angelina is a member of Jane's family, b) she is Brad's partner, c) the DeMille is her and Brad's home, and d) things are back to normal between Brad and the kids.  Brad's family would not otherwise be in the DeMille for their only day in L.A. and reveal the fact to the public.  So there would be no question about the significance of the photo, it had Sydney's sister Reagan in the frame.  This is the closest that Brad has come to actually showing that he is with Angelina and the kids.  The whole family had a lot to celebrate.  All you need after this is their full account to fill in details.

- And so in her own Question, she said, "your partner" because Brad is and has always been her partner just as he has always been the children's father even when they had to live apart. Hence she said "your partner and children’s father, actor Brad Pitt."

"I separated" - She made the choice and decision on her own -- "I separated" not "we separated" -- because she was unable to speak to Brad while the DCFS investigation was ongoing and there was a protective order against him. She spoke of their separation in the past tense and with Sydney's photo, they are showing that they are no longer separated and have been living together.

The question already states the reason for her decision. The choice she had to make after the DCFS started its investigation was either to separate/file and stay with the children or not separate/file and stay with Brad. If she chose not to separate and file, someone else would have to look after the children while they did not want to live with Brad. That meant she could not be with the children while they recovered and it would have been a far less healthy and reassuring environment for them. Separating and filing was not something she wanted but something she had to do in order to keep the children with her.

Filing the divorce petition was necessary under DCFS rules and to convince the DCFS she would protect the kids from Brad after they placed a restraining order against him prohibiting him from going near the children. His subsequent visits monitored by the children's trauma therapists also had to take place away from the children's home. Filing the petition proves to the DCFS that her loyalty was to the children, not to Brad, and therefore they should allow the children to stay with her and not take them away. The petition subsequently became one of the safeguards the DCFS kept in place to make sure the children are allowed to heal. It gave the court oversight of the therapeutic process and ensured that it was followed. In Bley's filing she states that Brad "insisted, as a condition for resolving the issues, on Judge Ouderkirk remaining as the private judge."

"I continue to focus on their healing"
 They had to work within the framework of the divorce case in their efforts to encourage the children to reconcile and restore their relationship with Brad. Those included the May 30 order, the Judgement on child custody and visitation, and the Judgement on status. Any significant progress in their efforts has to be validated by the court. Everything that materially affected Brad and the children needed court approval, including changes necessitated by the lockdown and school closings. The safeguards were decided on by the DCFS and childcare professionals at the conclusion of an extended 8-week investigation. It reflects their concern and perception that with the severity of the children's estrangement from Brad, they could be rushed before they are truly ready because their parents are eager to have the family back together.

They have followed the stringent safeguards they were encouraged to accept but they are eager to get out from under it and break their silence. Part of their efforts to sustain a healthy environment for the children will include debunking the lies which bother the children who are now able to read them. Because it bothers the children, it bothers them too. The "some" who've taken advantage of their silence and engage in concocting and propagating lies that upset them include the lowlife, hypocritical pseudo fans.

They should finally be able to break their silence and give their full true story after October. They had hinted that it would be soon, and now thanks to Spiegel's response, we have a probable date. (Spiegel's PR press release has some use.)

She had said that every challenge she and Brad faced had brought them even closer.  After this monumental challenge and the super heroic effort it required, their love and bond is Eternal. 😀

"I think this is one of those that say something to all of us about trying to make it through your life, trying to find ways to help each other... Life can go through all these horrible turns, but you hold on to each other, you fight forward, you find ways through, and you find that friendship and that freedom and that love."

Sydney and her family have already left L.A. and apparently got stuck in Dallas-Fort Worth after their connecting flight was cancelled. The brunch was Sydney & family's only day in L.A. before heading home.
