It's the Big Awards weekend: the Oscars are on Sunday and the Spirit Awards were held today. (For the information of the few fans who are oblivious of the world outside tabloid trash.)

Plan B and Annapurna co-produced Vice and If Beale Street Could Talk which both received multiple nominations.  Vice has 8 Oscar nominations including for Best Picture.  Beale Street has 3 Oscar nominations.  Beale Street had 3 Independent Spirit nominations and today won all three -- Best Feature, Director and Best Supporting Female.

Barry Jenkins (Moonlight, Beale Street), Adam McKay (The Big Short, Vice) and Christian Bale (The Big Short, Vice) have ongoing relationships with Plan B and have now worked on and received Oscar nods for two Plan B films.  As a producer of Vice and an executive producer of If Beale Street Could Talk, Brad could not be with the family in NY because he has the two films, directors, actors and other nominees to support this week in L.A.  After Beale Street's big win at the Spirit Awards, he would be expected to host Plan B's celebratory after party.

Angelina's trip to NY this week was timed so she could give the intro for Serendipity at the Opening Night of MoMA's doc fortnight.  She similarly came out to support The Breadwinner at its premieres and the 2018 Annie Awards.  She is an executive producer of both.

They follow through their commitments as producer or executive producer.
