Random Fuzzy


-  She skipped the red carpet but owned the highlight reel thanks to the irrepressible Agnes Varda and their "dance of cinema."


-  People wrote she was "spotted chatting up the many visitors to her table, including actor Jake Gyllenhaal." The crowds surrounding her could be seen in the audience photos of her -- and they looked to be mostly AMPAS members.  It is indicative of her popularity in the room and bodes well for FTKMF's chances.




-  She has the AFI Fest tomorrow and then she may be going up to Vancouver on Wednesday for the Peacekeeping Summit.  There is apparently also a local radio interview scheduled.


-  There doesn't appear to be any more public events in the Awards calendar that would involve FTKMF pending the nominations, although they may continue to appear for private receptions.  The Breadwinner will be released Nov. 17.


-  They've effectively tightened the security in Laughlin Park.  In contrast to a few months ago when there were photos of the gaming truck arriving for a birthday party, there were no paparazzi photos at all of their house during Halloween.


-  Brad in the meantime may be busy overseeing the re-landscaping of one or more of their homes.  The most likely bet is of course the DeMille since they reportedly planned "an extensive renovation that honors its Golden Age glory."  The wholesale plant nursery he visited just north of Santa Barbara does not sell to the public and directs interested buyers to local retailers that sell their plants.  That Brad made the trip to their site in Goleta Valley and they entertained his interest indicates he is making a very large, wholesale-size order.  The perimeter wall of trees surrounding the DeMille is quite sparse near the gate.


- The glittery dress she wore last night was very similar to the outfit she wore to an event honoring the late producer Jerry Weintraub.
