Well, well. This would explain why they passed on Cannes. Kensington Palace rarely hosts movie premieres and having the premiere there is a real coup. If members of the British Royal family are also present, the resulting publicity would totally eclipse anything that could have come out of Cannes. The premiere is earlier than usual -- three weeks before the film's wide release -- ahead of Godzilla's and X-Men's and Cannes. It appears to have been timed to give the film's final pre-release marketing blitz a grand kick-off. Disney + Angelina is a match made in marketing heaven.
