SAG

He was asked a simple question about the best thing in his life today and he didn’t want to give his answer.  He had a forced laugh, talked about the weather and mentioned his kids, coffee, and his dogs without answering the question.

"He calls me lover.  It's a bit confusing but I roll with it."

You were jokingly talking about 'my personal life is a total disaster,” what's the best thing about life right now for you?
"Did I say that? (laughs)
It was a joke, but what's the best thing about life for Brad Pitt today?
"It's a beautiful day in L.A. today.  We got it well, we got it really good.  It's just a beautiful day. —I got lovely kids, I like my coffee, I like my dogs, I have no complaints."
You also joked about any time you stand next to someone they assume that you're with that person.
"Gonna sell some magazines.”

His dogs may have been at the groomer’s again.  Jacques, the bulldog who was a puppy around the time the twins were born, has likely gone across the rainbow bridge.  Bulldogs seldom live past 10 years.
The best thing about his life today is the person he is constrained from mentioning, his partner for over 14 years, the mother of his children, who was seen walking the dogs from the groomers, who was likely with him when he drank his coffee, but who is still legally in an open divorce case with him.  Since he couldn’t talk openly about the best thing in his life, he avoided answering the question.  It’s a fool’s game to try to predict when they’ll finally emerge free from all constraints — the therapists thought it would only take one year.   He has signaled through several partial confessions that he is prepared to talk openly and frankly about his problems that put them in this situation.  In the meantime, as he said speaking as his character’s alter ego at the end of Ad Astra, "I'm unsure of the future, but I'm not concerned.  I will rely on those closest to me.  And will share their burdens, as they share mine.  I will live, and love."  And just a few days ago:  “Miraval began as a project between the Jolie-Pitt and the Perrin family. And now it has grown to include the PΓ©ters family.  The continuity and the family are very important to Brad and Angelina."  From the start, Miraval's labels read "Bottled by Jolie-Pitt & Perrin" in referring to Angelina, Brad and their partner Marc Perrin.  This statement refers to them as "the Jolie-Pitt" with a hyphen and not an ampersand to reflect the fact that there is no change in their relationship -- they are and have always been a couple.  The continuity of  "the Jolie-Pitt" and the Miraval project and their family are very important to them.
Brad has a dark and wicked sense of humor.  Angelina’s co-stars have said hers is the same although she seldom displays it in public.  He could easily host SNL.

The video shows the full truth about their very brief encounter.  It wasn't widely circulated because it would kill the tabloid narrative.

The spontaneous greeting -- if it had been any other friend or acquaintance, they would have shared a big congratulatory kiss and hug.  His win was expected, hers was a surprise.  He shared big hugs with Helena Bonham Carter and Margot Robbie, neither of whom won anything.   He smiled broadly at her but remained stiff and detached.  She momentarily forgot the tabloids and was going to give him a hug amid the joy of winning but he never did.
From a different angle
As Jennifer leans in towards Brad.  Brad stands straight, head raised and turned away from her so he is looking up and not at her.  He avoided having their heads touch. Jennifer's left hand is near his right arm but does not appear to be on it.   A big diamond ring on her left ring finger is sparkling.

As Jennifer straightens back up, both of her hands are beside Brad's arms.  Brad's left hand is no longer holding her right hand.  He is again looking down and at her.

As Jennifer turns away, her left hand trails from his upper arm down his chest.  His hand settles on her wrist.

Largely owing to Brad's efforts, it was very brief with no bodily contact, no facial contact.  A warm and friendly greeting that involved exchanging a congratulatory hand clasp.  The many photos taken from all angles gives tabloids little room to fabricate or manipulate.  The video, which showed everything even clearer was hardly seen.

What is also obvious is the tabloids are totally ignoring the big diamond ring on Jennifer's left ring finger that would debunk the desperately stupid stories they are selling to the desperately blind and stupid.  The truth can be plainly seen.
