Diane von Furstenberg: Leave Angelina Jolie and her leg alone
If Angelina Jolie wants anyone in her corner after that business about her leg at last Sunday's Academy Awards, it's Diane von Furstenberg.
The Ministry caught up with the legendary designer in Los Angeles on Saturday, where she said she doesn't quite understand why Angie and her limbs are under attack.
"She's always so gorgeous," Von Furstenberg said at the launch of GapKids + DVF, her chic children's line for the retailer. "I don't know why, but I think people are just not nice to her."
And as a woman who has just created a collection for children, she's not having any of this Angelina teasing.
At shopping mecca The Grove, Von Furstenberg turned up to greet celeb fans like a pregnant Molly Sims, Busy Philipps, Alyson Hannigan, Tiffani Thiessen and "Entourage" star Constance Zimmer.
Not your normal petting zoo fare, the DVF bunch kept it glamorous with a mini-runway for kids to strut down and a makeup station, and passed snacks like vegetable cut-outs and mac 'n' cheese.
Motherhood being another job Angelina is highly associated with, we asked Von Furstenberg the value of raising children with their own unique stlye, like Jolie and Brad Pitt's Shiloh.
"The only thing that matters is that your kids are happy with who they are," Von Furstenberg said.

Saving Face tells the story of women who have had their faces disfigured by acid attacks in Pakistan. Below is the transcript of the q&a (courtesy of AMPAS) with Obaid-Chinoy and Junge held in the pressroom backstage.
A. (Junge) This is only a third less nerve racking than being up there. But still all the same. I think it's important to note that this is the first Pakistani director nominated and now winning an Academy Award, which is really worth, yeah, applaud. Thank you.
Q. Hi. I am wondering other than, of course, winning, what has been the most exciting thing about your night so far, and what is next for you?
A. (Junge) Well, we just stepped off the stage, and the first two people we encountered were … What were their names?
A. (Obaid-Chinoy) Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. And because Angelina has a connection to Pakistan, because she's been there, it was really nice to chat with her about that and give her a copy of our film.

When Brad Pitt said the night the Golden Globe ceremony that he had watched The Separation on DVD [with Angelina Jolie] and in the middle of the opening sequence at court, Angelina paused the film after seeing the fight between the couple aqnd was very touched. They waited for some time and watched it again, I became more confident. When Angelina Jolie asked you about your next film and plainly said she wanted to be in your film and when you answered her by saying that your leading actress would be speaking French and she said that she could learn French by the time you start making your film, I simply felt proud.
