Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Spend Christmas Vacation on Private Caribbean Island With Their Kids

Nothing like getting away from it all for the holidays.

Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt and their six children took off for the Caribbean last Friday (Dec. 21) and spent their Christmas vacation on Parrot Cay, a private resort island and noted celebrity haunt that's part of Turks and Caicos, E! News confirms.

What they got up to once they touched down in paradise is anybody's guess—hence the key word, private—but knowing the Jolie-Pitts, mom, pop and kids are enjoying the posh outdoors.

The New York Post reports that the family was bunking at Donna Karan's beachfront villa, located on a stretch of real estate where the figurative names on the mailboxes include Bruce Willis, Christie Brinkley and Keith Richards.

"It's like a private yoga retreat," Karan said of the exclusive retreat in August on VanityFair.com.
In this case, however, it may be more like a private sandy zoo! According to the Post, there were 22 people (not counting staff) in the Jolie-Pitt party, including Pitt's parents, his brother and sister, and their spouses and children.

But the more, the merrier for Christmas, right?!

Jolie kids’ island ‘Pitt’ stop

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have brought their brood to the Caribbean for Christmas, Page Six has exclusively learned.

Spies say the starry couple and their six kids are all staying at the home of designer Donna Karan on Turks and Caicos.

According to other sources on the island Pitt and Jolie brought both his parents Jane and William Pitt, his brother Doug Pitt and sister Julie Neal Pitt, their spouses and their children. The source said, “There are 22 people in all in their group. No nannies have been seen.”

The posh pad in elite Parrot Cay is on a white- sand beach, and reportedly includes an infinity pool lined with black volcanic stone, and features 360-degree views, African and Asian art, an open-air screening room for watching movies and a dining pavilion that was created in Bali.

“They are at Donna’s house, without Donna, and have been loving the island because it is so secluded,” says a tropical spy. “Angelina’s taken the kids to Karan’s yoga spa. They’ve been running around the island with no care in the world, and relaxing.” Karan told Vanity Fair in August that her “best-kept secret” on Parrot Cay is her “spa house . . . It’s like a private yoga retreat.”

Also on the island is Rolling Stone Keith Richards, fresh off his 50th anniversary tour with his band. Spies say the rocker’s relaxing with his “whole family,” and is “in very good spirits.”
Christie Brinkley’s also been spotted with daughter Alexa Joel. And “Lost” producer J.J. Abrams, a man who knows his islands, has also been vacationing with his family, we hear.

But it seems Jolie and Pitt may not be taking care of Maddox, Shiloh, Knox, Vivienne, Pax and Zahara alone — they may have up to 12 nannies in tow. “At lunch on a small island three away from Parrot Cay,” posted Architectural Digest editor-at-large Jeffrey Slonim on his blog Christmas Day. “A woman said she’d heard from a local that [Pitt and Jolie] were in town with two nannies per child. Count ’em, 12 nannies!” Then again, the dozen nannies could be the stuff of local island legend, Slonim hedged.

Either way, reports have said Pitt and Jolie were taking their kids around the world for the holidays, and Page Six previously reported that Jolie’s dad, Jon Voight, was stocking up on kids’ gifts at an LA Toys ‘R’ Us before Christmas. No word on whether he’ll be arriving to deliver the haul.

I wondered, How can I bring Bali three and a half hours away?” says fashion designer Donna Karan, who envisioned a simple, modern beach house on Parrot Cay, in the Turks and Caicos Islands. Architects and interior designers Enrico Bonetti and Dominic Kozerski collaborated with architect Cheong Yew Kuan to create the complex—“a marriage of East and West,” Karan says—which includes three villas and three open-air pavilions. An infinity pool sits above the first floor of the main house. Sunbrella fabric on canopy bed.

“Just being a part of nature, a guest of nature, was the most important key,” remarks Karan. In the pavilion, as throughout, sliding doors and glazed walls minimize the boundaries between the interiors and the landscape.

Karan and her daughter Gabrielle in the pavilion atop the main house. “Donna likes things that are comfortable, easy, friendly to the touch, the eye and the body,” says Kozerski, who, with Bonetti, designed most of the furnishings. “Everything is honest; we hate fakery and pastiche.”

African art that Karan collected during her travels decorates the living room of one of the guesthouses. “It really is an international environment,” she says

Dark-stained cedar walls and a rattan ceiling wrap the master bedroom of the spa villa in warm tones and textures.

On the deck, an enormous chaise looks out to the ocean. “If I can’t sleep on it or in it,” Karan says of her furniture, “I don’t want to know from it.”
