Oh, the summer of 2001. We laughed at Martin Short and swooned over Angelina Jolie. Not much has changed, actually.



 What The Flick?: Tomb Raider
Everyone loves Tomb Raider for one reason: Angelina Jolie. Don't get us wrong, the video game is sweet, but what's even sweeter is Angie walking around getting scrappy while decked out in that black skin-tight number. While she burst onto the scene and caused an uproar with her antics (between sucking face with her brother, wearing a vial of Billy Bob Thornton's blood around her neck, and having his name tattooed on her immaculate body), her hotness made it easy to forgive all that. These days, Angelina is still smoking hot, but she's raising a large chunk of Cambodia and married to Brad "Sexiest Man Alive" Pitt, making her entirely off-limits. At least when she was with Billy Bob we could hold onto some hope; Brad Pitt on the other hand, well, we officially hate him.

Steven Spielberg to Head Cannes Film Festival Jury

The 66th edition of the fest takes place May 15-26.

Steven Spielberg has been chosen to head up the jury at this year's Cannes Film Festival.
Festival organizers said late Wednesday night that the Oscar-winning director will head up the jury at its 66th edition, which runs May 15-26.
“My admiration for the steadfast mission of the festival to champion the international language of movies is second to none," Spielberg said in a statement. "The most prestigious of its kind, the festival has always established the motion picture as a cross cultural and generational medium.”
Spielberg, who takes the reins from Italian writer-director-producer Nanni Moretti, most recently directed Lincoln, which festival organizers noted is a box office hit in France, where it has been seen by more than 1 million people.
Spielberg was nominated for his direction of Lincoln at Sunday's Oscars ceremony; the movie also was nominated in 11 other categories, including best picture and best actor, the latter of which went to star Daniel Day-Lewis.
