What better holiday for
Maleficent and her brood?
During a high-spirited shopping expedition Sunday,
Angelina Jolie – who plays
Sleeping Beauty's evil queen in the
upcoming live-action Disney movie Maleficent – and three of her six children with
Brad Pitt hit the Halloween Adventure Superstore in Sherman Oaks, Calif.
"Halloween is a big deal for the kids. There are decorations
everywhere at the house and the kids are already dressing up," a family
source tells PEOPLE. "They will have a party at school and will also go
trick-or-treating with their friends on Halloween. The kids are all very
excited."
Picking out costumes and other holiday-appropriate items with
the mother were Shiloh, 6, and 4-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
"They
spent almost an hour at the store in the morning," according to an
observer in the store. "Angie looked gorgeous and was very sweet. The
kids were excited and very adorable. The youngest ones were very into
all the costumes, and the older kid seemed more into the Halloween
decorations."
Added the observer: "Despite all the excitement, the kids were
very well-behaved, and Angie was great with them. She smiled at their
excitement, but was at the same time good at saying no. The kids would
have left with everything in the store if they would have been allowed."
In the end, said the source, "Angie only let them pick out a
present each, but the kids seemed very pleased with their picks." In
Shiloh's case, it was a pair of sunglasses, while "Vivienne left the
store in a pink unicorn costume, and Knox clutched a plastic alligator
toy."
A photographer said, "Vivienne looked adorable in her unicorn
costume, and she seemed very excited that she got to wear it out of the
store. Knox was in his own world with the toy alligator, and Angie had
to pick him up on the way to the car so he wouldn't get lost."
Taking her role as older sister seriously, "Shiloh acted like
Angie's big helper and she took care of Vivienne when they walked back
to the car after the shopping trip," said the photog.
And although they weren't along for the shopping trip, Maddox,
11, Pax, 8, and Zahara, 7, were not overlooked. Their mother, said a
source, found toys for them – including a gothic count costume, a count
makeup kit, decorative plastic spiders and a sprayable spider web.

Happy almost Halloween from the Jolie-Pitts!
Angelina Jolie took
her children Shiloh, Vivienne and Knox shopping for last-minute
Halloween costumes Oct. 28 at the Halloween Adventure Superstore in
Sherman Oaks, Calif., browsing the aisles for close to an hour.
Among the items the brood scooped up during their trip? A unicorn
costume for 4-year-old Vivienne and a dinosaur stuffed toy for her twin
brother.
"Angelina looked amazing! She definitely looked really healthy and
she was really sweet. A few fans came up to her and she was beyond nice
to them and talked to every single one of them," an onlooker tells
Us Weekly,
adding that Vivienne wore her unicorn costume the entire time. "They
were there for close to an hour and they had a pretty large purchase."
Earlier this week,
Us Weekly exclusively reported that Vivienne and her actress mom, 37, will have some company on the big screen when the duo appears in Disney's
Maleficent: Jolie-Pitt kids Pax, 8, and Zahara, 7.
"They have smaller parts," reveals a source, who adds that Pax and
Zahara won't have speaking roles. "Shiloh was supposed to be in it, too,
but she was bored and not in the mood during the day her part was
supposed to happen, so she ended up not being in the film."
Slated for a March 2014 release, the film is a remaining of the
classic fairy tale Sleeping Beauty, told from the villainess'
perspective; Jolie plays the titular role. Her daughter Vivienne will
play the child version of
Elle Fanning's Princess Aurora.

Mom is getting in the spirit!
With only a few days left until
Halloween,
Angelina Jolie treated three of her
kids, Shiloh, 6, and 4-year-old twins, Knox and Vivienne, to a trip to Halloween City in Sherman Oaks, Calif. on Oct. 28.
And, as you can imagine, the troop didn’t leave empty handed.
“Angie and the kids came in around 10:30 a.m. for about 40 minutes,” an onlooker tells
Life & Style. “She bought a lot of stuff, like $400 worth. She had a ‘manny’ with her.”
“She bought several things,” a second eyewitness, who also notes Angie paid in $100 bills, tells
Life & Style.
“She bought some pink outfit for one of the kids, a unicorn outfit, and
then some toys, like an alligator that one of them carried out.”
Though the 37-year-old dished out the dough to make sure her kids have a happy Halloween, she left one bag behind!
“It was busy and she had three kids with her, so she may have gotten
confused,” the eyewitness says. “In the bag were items like a garter
with a dagger, glasses with red lenses, a with broom with rubies on it, a
Morticia wig, and a child’s Viking helmet.”
As for the famous family, they couldn’t have been in better spirits.
“She was very sweet and the kids were cute,” the eyewitness shares.
“They didn’t seem bad at all. Just normal. Angie was very nice and
seemed happy.”
Guests didn’t just get a glimpse of
Angie and part of her brood, though. They also got a firsthand look at the very special piece of jewelry that fiancé
Brad Pitt gifted Angie earlier this year.
“She was wearing her giant diamond ring,” the first onlooker tells
Life & Style.
Oh, what we would give to be a fly on the wall of the Jolie-Pitt residence on the spooky holiday!
