World War Z films in Cornwall

The management and staff at Nansloe Manor were proud to have welcomed Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Matthew Fox, Marc Forster and their principal colleagues of the film during their stay with us for the 11 days they were filming World War Z in Cornwall.
We were delighted to have been chosen as the Best Hotel in the County for them, and thank them for their kind and generous comments in our Visitors Book.

From The Sun (U.K) so requires a few grains of salt.

Brad Pitt buys Shetland ponies for ALL his kids

Published:Today at 00:06

MOST kids get a My Little Pony toy to play with - but Brad Pitt's brood get the real thing.

The actor surprised his family with SIX Shetland ponies - one for each nipper - and a horse for partner Angelina Jolie.
He bought them in secret and they're now grazing in a paddock on the couple's Chateau Miraval estate in the south of France.
Brad and Angelina can already ride but they want to be able to take children Vivienne, Knox, Shiloh, Zahara, Pax and Maddox pony-trekking.
A source said: "Brad ummed and ahhed about it for a while but decided to go for it.
"He wasn't sure whether they'd find the time as training the children will take a lot of manhours but thinks it will be worth it in the long run. He thinks it's best for them to learn how to ride while they're young."
It's not like they haven't got the space - their French gaff sits on acres of land.

Although I'd put in a footie pitch or a golf course first. Tomboy Shiloh would probably prefer her own set of irons anyway.
At least Brad has a waterpark in mind - he's also had a posh new pool installed.

The source added: "Their place is huge. They have loads of fields all around the property. Their driveway is three miles long and lined with impressive fountains. They've got a new pool with slides as well now."
The star family have a lot of outdoor fun to look forward to once Brad finishes shooting his new movie World War Z.

He still has scenes to film in Scotland, Essex and Surrey yet, so it could quite easily be winter by the time they get back to France.

He'll just have to build a mini Center Parcs dome to protect them from the elements.
Every kid worth his salt loves the rapids...

World War Z travels

Pitt to film World War Z scenes in Cornwall – reports

Brad Pitt could be heading to Cornwall next month to shoot scenes for his new film, the zombie blockbuster World War Z, according to reports.

Officials in Falmouth say they are discussing the logistics of the shoot in August with the film’s maker, Paramount Pictures, which is believed to involve filming on a boat off the Cornish coast.

Scenes have already been shot in Malta, where Mr Pitt, 47, was joined by wife Angelina Jolie and their children last month. And reports at the weekend suggested he will also film scenes in Glasgow.

Richard Gates, Falmouth’s town manager, told the Western Morning News he had been in discussions with Paramount’s location and casting crews to work out the logistics of shooting in the town.

He told the paper the filming would create an “almighty buzz”.

“This is a major coup for Falmouth and we’re pulling out all the stops to prepare for the influx of crew and cast,” he said.

“We’ve been working closely behind the scenes with Paramount Pictures and are working hard with regards to the necessary planning and permissions.”

The film is based on Max Brooks’s 2006 novel World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War, which is set in the US city of Philadelphia in the aftermath of a war between humans and zombies.

The film is due to be released next year.
