A dinner at Pace restaurant on Saturday, Dec. 17.

It was apparently Ines de Ramon's birthday dinner for her birthday on Dec. 19.


In Page Six’s roundup of the blurry paparazzi photos, they included a few in which Pitt can be seen hugging another “mystery woman” goodbye. This woman “seemingly attended the celebration, too,” the outlet reports. Who is she?
To me, she looks exactly like Nikki Reed, an actress who starred in the Twilight movies. Reed is currently married to Ian Somerhalder, who starred on The Vampire Diaries with Wesley (de Ramon’s ex). Yes, Twilight and The Vampire Diaries are both about vampires. Incidentally, Wesley and Somerhalder own a bourbon company together called Brothers Bond Bourbon that Reed helped fund.
What was Reed doing at Pitt’s birthday dinner? A quick visit to her Instagram suggests the dinner was not for Pitt at all. She posted a story yesterday in which she bragged about printing out photos of her good friend de Ramon for HER birthday dinner:
Wow. We don’t know exactly when de Ramon’s birthday is, but a random website called nationaltoday.com says it’s December 19, just one day after Pitt’s. That makes de Ramon anywhere from 29 to 33 years old.
This just goes to show that you can’t trust the tabloids. Also: Pitt and his fake girlfriend have something in common, after all.



Brad dating stories have long become a joke.  This time, Brad wants people to think he may be dating Ines while giving himself a path to denying it.  He has a willing partner in People which has been posting blatantly bogus stories fed by his team -- a partnership that goes back a long way including their posts after the Sept. 2016 incident. 

Tabloids thrive on romance stories. It's their best, time-proven click bait.  So it was curious that other tabloids were dialing back People's claims.  The only reason E!, Us etc. could be so confident and emphatic in refuting People is because the denials came straight from Brad's team.  His team were simultaneously sowing doubts about the story they asked People to spread.  There seems to be an upending of tabloid hierarchy with fellow tabloids quoting Us Weekly more than People.  

Brad's own actions add to the ambiguity.  He wants to be seen with Ines and feed the rumors but he doesn't want her arriving or leaving with him.  (Angelina had no problem leaving with The Weeknd in his SUV after a dinner party at Girogio Baldi last year.)



Brad hugged other women freely including Cindy Crawgord at Bono and the woman ID'd as Nikki Reed at Pace. But he gave Ines only a brief shoulder hold at Bono.  They spent a lot of time chatting outside for the paps on Saturday but no birthday hug.

Nikki Reed's Instagram story had expired by the time I checked, but the background of her selfie with Ines matches an interior wall of Pace restaurant and de Ramon's birthday, as gawker noted, is listed as Dec. 19 in nationaltoday.com. 

Reed's verified account's first person post, accompanied by photo proof, sweeps aside all other reports.  She said it was Ines' "birthday girl's table" -- not Brad's whom she doesn't allude to at all, nor a joint birthday celebration.  Just Ines'.  Her celebration, her friends.

Reed's message "I hope you felt beautiful and loved" suggests Ines may be feeling down and her friends wanted to cheer her up.   Being Brad's rumored girlfriend is apparently not lifting her spirits.  She needs more reassurance to feel beautiful and loved.  Reed ended with a black heart emoji.

For some, the black heart emoji is the perfect emoji for a rainy day when you are sitting inside, feeling angsty and misunderstood.

No matter the color, a heart is a heart nonetheless. Despite its dark shade, a 🖤 represents love and affection. Someone may send this emoji alone or at the end of a sentence to show that they care for you.


As for how Reed may know Brad, she is also a Leica - photography enthusiast.

"Brad had a birthday party dinner with Ines and friends on Saturday night. Guests brought gifts and the group shared a lot of Italian food. Brad even got a birthday treat with a candle and the group sang happy birthday," says the source.
"He was in the best mood," the source adds. "He sat next to Ines. They were very cute and flirty. You could tell that she makes him happy."

Before jumping to conclusions and calling the night out a date, a source told E! News that Brad and Ines simply "like each other's company." People, however, reported in November that they have been dating for a few months. 
Just last month, Brad stepped out with Ines at a Bono concert in Los Angeles. During the outing, the pair was spotted chatting with a group of friends, including Cindy Crawford and her husband Rande Gerber, outside of the Orpheum Theatre.
At one point in the evening, Brad had his hands on Ines' shoulders as the two mingled with pals. 
But at the time, a source exclusively told E! News that the jewelry designer, who separated from husband Paul Wesley earlier this year, is simply "a friend of his." 
The insider added that dating rumors surrounding the two "has been assumed in the past and has been wrong."

And last week, a source told Us Weekly that Pitt is “smitten” with de Ramon.
“Brad is smitten with Ines, but they aren’t officially dating,” the insider said. “They’ve been spending time together as friends and really enjoy each other’s company.”
The insider added that the Hollywood star “wasn’t expecting to find someone so extraordinary like Ines,” but “they are becoming great friends” and will see what “blossoms from there.”

Putting the photos in what best seems like a logical sequence based on lighting, angle and background.

We see Brad arriving and getting out of his car with his jacket on.  Ines is not in the vicinity or the paps would have had a photo of them in the same frame.   No photos of Ines arriving or getting out of any car.
They did not arrive at the same time.






Still with his jacket on.  Despite the caption "The jewelry designer was smiling as she chatted with the “Bullet Train” actor and a pal outside of the restaurant" looks like a different woman.  She has a dark coat and gray scarf while other photos have Ines wearing a tan shearling with no scarf.

He made sure to spend a lot of time chatting with different women outside the restaurant in full view of the paps.  

No jacket headed back out





Roughly the same spot and car as the photo earlier with the two women.   Ines is wearing a tan shearling.  Did he emerge from the restaurant so he and Ines can have an extended outdoor chat in front of the paps.  Following a script?





Talking to someone not in the frame


With his jacket on, carrying a bag out of the restaurant with a white box and a flattened UPS box.  Even if the dinner was truly his celebration, the UPS box doesn't look like a gift and the brown bag looks like a shopping bag, not a gift bag. 


The woman beside him seems to be around the same height as the woman he is seen giving a hug by the restaurant's entrance.  He also seems to still be carrying the brown shopping bag as a faint horizontal outline can be seen through the car's rear windows.  In other photos the outline of his body can be seen in the rear windows. Same lighting as the previous photo.


Same spot as previous, same angle for the paps, same lighting.  I would guess he loaded the bag in the front seat.

The mystery woman id'd as Nikki Reed appears to have bumped against the parking sign.






Reed appears to be leaving while he is headed back inside the restaurant.



Standing alone.  Brad is not around or the paps would have maneuvered to put them in the same frame.  Perhaps after the previous sequence Brad went back inside and perhaps Reed joined de Ramon.


No photos of him getting back in his car and leaving. The paps probably also have videos from the night but I have not seen them anywhere
