"Production was taking place on a ranch, which is likely the set for the infamous Spahn ranch, where the Manson family stayed before committing the Sharon Tate murders on August 9, 1969.

Burt Reynolds had been set to portray George Spahn, the owner of the ranch who was convinced by Manson to let his 'family' stay there while planning the murders.

After Reynolds passed away earlier this month, it was later confirmed that the late actor hadn't yet filmed his scenes for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, although it hasn't been confirmed who his replacement may be."
