Brad Pitt Talks Meeting the Queen, Dame Angelina's Not the Boss at Home!

It's not every day you get the meet the Queen of England, and for Brad Pitt, his recent reception at Buckingham Palace for wife Angelina Jolie to be made an Honorary Dame Commander is a day he'll never forget.

"It was just a pleasure and certainly one for the books," the proud husband told Us Weekly at the London premiere of Fury on Sunday, October 19. "[It was] a wonderful afternoon for our family, a great honor for Angie and something we won’t forget," he added at the event which closed the 58th BFI London Film Festival in partnership with American Express, at the Odeon Leicester Square.
Pitt, Jolie and their brood of six kids came face to face with Queen Elizabeth II in room 1844 of the monarch's London residence on Friday, October 10. Jolie received the award in honor of her humanitarian work, in particular her efforts to combat sexual violence in war-torn regions around the world.

"To receive an honor related to foreign policy means a great deal to me, as it is what I wish to dedicate my working life to," Jolie said previously. "Working on PVSI and with survivors of rape is an honor in itself. I know that succeeding in our goals will take a lifetime, and I am dedicated to it for all of mine."

So now that Jolie's an Honorary Dame, does this mean she's the boss at home?
"Aaah, no," Pitt told Us, laughing. "We have our own pecking order at home!”

How Brad Pitt Taught His Son About War - And Made 'Fury' a No. 1 Movie

This weekend, Brad Pitt's Fury is not just the box office number one movie making $23.5 million. The film about the World War II tank crew's last offensive against the waning Nazi forces in 1945 was also a teachable moment for Pitt's son Maddox.
In an interview with the Associated Press, the actor talked about his eldest son's reaction to watching the film.
"He's a bit of a World War II buff so it's interesting for him, I think, but it's still dad so it's not that cool."
It was important to Pitt to explain the reality of war to his kid. "The younger generation play a lot of video games and I want them to understand that there is casualty, you don't just reboot. There are real consequences and real stakes so we talked a lot about that."

Fury dislodged Gone Girl after a few solid weeks at number one. The psychological thriller starring Ben Affleck takes second this weekend at $17.8 million -- which adds up to over $100 million total gross in just three weeks.

While Pitt was working on Fury, his wife Angelina Jolie was also working on a World War II film, Unbroken, out in December.
Pitt told the AP that they were learning together. "I was studying the European theatre, she was studying Pacific theatre. I was studying tanks, she was studying bombers. and yeah It was good fun for us."
