Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt location scouting in Gozo

Film  stars Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have just left Malta after a 36-hour stop to scout for locations for a film they will produce later this year.
The Hollywood superstars were mainly in Gozo, scouting the bays on the sister island, timesofmalta.com has learnt.
They were also seen on a tour of the coastline on a yacht.
Sources said the pair have shortlisted Malta as one of a handful of countries where to shoot their film, which is slated to start at the end of summer.
They were last here in 2011 when Pitt was busy with the shooting of World War Z. While in Malta Jolie promoted refugee causes as a UNHCR ambassador.
Pitt was also in Malta in 2003 for the filming of the epic Troy in which he played Achilles.

If true, I wish Roger Deakins could be their cinematographer but he appears to be already booked through the end of the year with Dennis Villeneuve's Sicario and the Coen brothers' Hail Caesar.

I assume the film is the one they will star in together and here are some of her quotes about it:

usatoday
"I wrote something we've talked about maybe doing together. Something little and experimental. (John) Cassavetes-style." Maleficent screenwriter Linda Woolverton calls Jolie's writing style modern and "very funny." As for financing? "We have everything we need if we choose to do it. We're really considering it."

manilabulletin
“I wrote something for us to do about four years ago. We have been thinking about doing it but now we are edging closer to thinking we should jump in. It’s a much more independent film, much more experimental, very personal. So it will be very different for both of us. It will be very challenging for us as actors.”
