After months of bad buzz about production problems and resistance from fans of the book upset at perceived changes in the story, WWZ's marketing campaign will need to work extra hard. It is Brad's first solo lead in a blockbuster since Troy and as both the star and a producer of the $170M film, he would be expected to pull out all the stops to promote it. So an MTV appearance isn't really a huge surprise. MTV has been the domain of Twihards and Potter fans for so long that one tends to forget that it reaches a broader audience.

Brad Pitt to Present at MTV Movie Awards!
Brad Pitt is coming to the MTV Movie Awards.
E! News can exclusively reveal that the World War Z star will be on hand Sunday to present the award for Movie of the Year.
Vying for the gold popcorn are The Avengers, The Dark Knight Rises, Django Unchained, Silver Linings Playbook and Ted.

Pitt is no stranger to the MTV Movie Awards. He's been nominated eight times and has won three. In 2006, he and Angelina Jolie shared the award for Best Fight for their work in Mr. & Mrs. Smith.
Hosted by Rebel Wilson, this year's ceremony kicks off live from Los Angeles on Sunday on MTV at 9 p.m.
Previously announced presenters include Zac Efron, Melissa McCarthy, Chris Rock, Chris Pine, Zoe Saldana and Zachary Quinto. Selena Gomez will perform her new single, "Come & Get It," during the show.

Everyone understands, of course, that Marc Forster‘s film having had its third act re-written and re-shot matters not to 97% of the audience out there. So it’s not the calamity-waiting-to-happen that some think it is. Most of of the paying public hasn’t read about it and doesn’t want to know. They’re committed to being as ignorant and/or ineducable (in a pre-release sense) as they feel like being, and that’s how the big studios like it. I suppose in my own way I’m guilty of the same. But not really.What do I really know? Maybe the third act really works now.
