While their adoration for each other is always quite clear Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt aren’t ones to lash on public displays of affection.
But it appears that the couple decided to share a series of tender kisses at the SAG awards tonight – and they didn’t care who looked on.
As they sat at the table clapping their way through the ceremony it was clear their attention was with the other.
Passionate kiss: Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt enjoyed an amorous evening at the Screen Actors Guild Awards
And as Angelina looked back to the stage she was seen placing a tender hand on Brad’s thigh.
At the end of the show the couple were seen sharing another smooch as they stood up from the table and the flashing cameras close by certainly didn’t bother them.
Perhaps the show of affection was a consolation prize for Brad who failed to scoop the Male Actor award which was won by The Artist star Jean DuJardin.
Tender touch: Brad was seen leaning in towards his partner and the couple shared a series of kisses mid-through the ceremony
Thigh just can't get enough: Angelina was seen putting a hand on Brad's leg during the awards ceremony
Earlier in the evening the pair, who have six children together, arrived on the red carpet and were greeted by pandemonium as the press recognised their arrival.
As ever Brad proved the perfect gentleman and stepped out of the car and made his way around the car to open the door for Angelina.
The look of love: The couple, who have six children together were seen gazing into each other's eyes
Isn't she lovely: The pair were seen posing on the red carpet but only had eyes for each other
The couple made their way up the red carpet together hand in hand and as the photographers shouted to Angelina to secure a shot Brad admired his date.
Angelina’s lame gown showed off her angular shoulders and dipped down at the back to reveal her tattoos.
Golden couple: Angelina looked stunning in her Grecian-inspired draping Jenny Packham gown while Brad looked dapper in his suit
Deep in conversation: During the dinner Angelina was seen deep in conversation with Tilda Swinton
Enjoying a tipple: The 36-year-old actress was seen enjoying a glass of red wine as she chatted to Tilda
She explained: 'It’s fun to wake up and play with your kids and then go out and this one you really get to hang out with other actors.'
When asked what the children think about the couple attending the glitzy awards ceremonies the 36-year-old said: 'They get that it’s part of our job... but it is a strange job... they are like "fine when are you coming home"'.
How's the vino? The actress was seen sipping on a large glass of red wine
Monochrome: While Angelina opted for black in Jenny Packham Zoe Saldana stepped out in a white Givenchy gown
Bromance: Brad greeted his good friend George Clooney with a warm embrace while Angelina looked on with a smile
Angelina gave some tips to aspiring actors and said: 'I think the most important think is to have a very full life.'
Meanwhile during his interview Pitt dropped hints that Hollywood's power couple would love to work together on screen again and said: 'We’re planning on it we haven’t seen anything specific, but we want to. We are working on it.'
Having a great time: The pair seemed to be in great spirits as they mingled with other guests
Group shot: Hollywood's Golden couples Brad and Angelina and George and Stacy posed up together
George Clooney and girlfriend Stacy Keibler also commanded plenty of attention and the pair proved popular on the red carpet.
The couples met up on the red carpet and posed for pictures together.
Brad and George are old friends and shared a spot of mutual appreciation as they met on the red carpet and shared a warm embrace.

While the longtime couple generally shies away from public displays of affection, the two were unusually touchy-feely at last night's event. After Pitt opened the car door for Jolie, the two made their way down the red carpet hand-in-hand, stopping for a moment to gaze into each other's eyes. Once inside the awards show venue, Jolie was photographed pulling Pitt in for a kiss. While one of her hands delicately touched his chin, the other hand tugged sharply on the back of his jacket.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were unusually touchy-feely at last night's Screen Actors Guild Awards.
Later in the night, while seated at their table, Pitt leaned in for another kiss with Jolie, who left her hand on his thigh while she turned back around to the stage. They shared a final kiss at the end of the awards show as they stood up to leave. The couple didn't appear too disappointed that Pitt had lost the Best Male Actor award to Jean Dujardin of "The Artist."
Perhaps Jolie and Pitt were just happy to have an evening without the kids. On Saturday night, Jolie and Pitt took their six children to Cirque du Soleil show "Ovo" at the Santa Monica Pier. While the couple was no doubt invited to the night's Directors Guild Awards, they might have chosen to skip the event since Jennifer Aniston and boyfriend Justin Theroux were making an appearance.
"The family looked so happy together, though the kids were a little hesitant as they headed into the big, dark tent," a source told the website X17. "They're just like a normal family going to see a show; but they just happen to be the biggest stars in Hollywood."
"Dream Big, Dream Fierce" This Oscar Season
Perhaps the standing ovation is an annual occurence and I've merely forgotten.
In some ways our relationship with the
awards circus is a long one with deep pockets of memories, long held
grudges and fondly remembered crushes. In other ways it's as if we're
goldfish swimming round the bowl and we're surprised by that little
plastic castle every time.
But I think the true indicator that Viola Davis is the likely winner of the Best Actress Oscar
is not the win itself with SAG, which has a much wider more diverse
voting body than Oscar, but the crowd response. Reducing co-stars to
tears is probably no great achievement. They were in the trenches with
you so naturally Jessica Chastain, Octavia Spencer and Cicely Tyson were
crying their eyes out. But making Zoe Saldana and Angelina Jolie all
misty? Boosting Dick Van Dyke's mood when he was already high on life?
