Random Fuzzies

From the start, their carefully worded statements always referred to the "filing" as a finite, complete act.   The filing allowed Angelina to keep the children with her and allowed for the Custody Stipulation that spelled out the therapeutic process and insulated the therapists from pressure from Brad.  It was what was required to protect the children and safeguard their healing.

They knew that it would take 6 to 12 months for the children to recover and for their relationship with their father to heal.  They knew it was a long, slow process and they would have to continue to live apart during that time.

Things have not "paused" or "slowed down," they are not "reconsidering" or "taking a breather."  They never intended to divorce.  Their situation required the filing and they needed to keep it in place until the family was fully healed.

Recall that Angelina did not request that her name be restored to Angelina Jolie from Angelina Jolie Pitt and she and Brad never complied with the financial disclosure requirements.

They've been following the process protected by the filing that has been in place from the start.

We hope now that it is clear that the events which led to the dissolution filing involved minor children and their wellbeing, there will be understanding of the sensitivity of the family situation. We believe that all sides are committed to healing the family and ask for your consideration during this difficult time."

Angelina said from the beginning that she felt she had to take action for the health of the family and is relieved that after their 8-week involvement, the DCFS is now satisfied the safeguards are put in place that will allow the children to heal."

I understand that Brad is frustrated but feel that it is incumbent upon us to help this family achieve their long-term reunification goals in a smooth and expeditious manner. Litigation absolutely does not effectuate that goal.
Is it not the end goal that within the next 6-12 months Brad is enjoying frequent and continuous contact with all of the children on a joint custodial basis?

The parents are committed to act as a united front to effectuate recovery and reunification."

"We will be stronger when we come out of this because that's what we're determined to do as a family."  "My focus is finding this way through. And as I said we are and forever will be a family.  I am coping with finding a way through to make sure that this somehow makes us stronger and closer.”

Well, there's a lot to tell them because there's understanding the future, there's understanding the immediate moment and why we're at this point, and then it brings up a lot of issues from the past that we haven't talked about. So our focus is that everyone comes out stronger and better people—there is no other outcome."

“We’re all just healing from the events that led to the filing . . . They’re not healing from divorce. They’re healing from some . . . from life, from things in life.”

It’s just been the hardest time, and we’re just kind of coming up for air.  [This house] is a big jump forward for us, and we’re all trying to do our best to heal our family.”

On June 9, an aerial photo apparently taken in the early morning showed a Fun Air slide was set up on the hill -- and the black Suburban that Brad had been using was parked outside the gate.

On June 15, Brad was spotted using the dark silver Toyota Sienna minivan that Angelina had been using.

On June 17, Angelina and the kids used the black Suburban to go to LAX.

Their security head, Richie, was photographed driving Maddox and Pax to TAO on July 11.

Richie or his look-alike brother drove Angelina and Vivienne on Aug. 2.

Angelina's assistant reportedly drove Pax to their Hollywood Hills compound on Aug. 11.

It seems that with the move to the DeMille, they pooled their resources and manpower -- which suggests that they are back to operating as one single household.
Which may be why she said the house was a big jump forward for them.

Security has apparently been tightened in the entrances to Laughlin Park as we have not seen any more paparazzi photos taken inside, near the DeMille.  CA has laws prohibiting paparazzi from trespassing and violating privacy using drones and telephoto lenses but they were flouting it.

I wrote previously that so far, none of the three other sites they've favored in the past -- People, Hello or Vanity Fair -- have posted or tweeted about the Us and E reports.

It's not like People and Hello have shown a natural inclination to exercising self control so perhaps they gave them a different statement or story for delayed publication.

Suggestions that Angelina welcomes or may have even encouraged the US report in order to shift the conversation away from the audition controversy are ridiculous.  She will be appearing for Q & As in both Telluride and TIFF in 3 weeks and the subject will undoubtedly come back to the forefront making any such effort now short-lived and a waste of time.  If anything, she, Rithy Panh, the casting directors and Netflix are probably eager to talk about it to clear up the misconceptions.

Angelina is probably the more secretive of the two and the strict secrecy they are observing including not going out in public together is likely her idea.  As noted previously, she was the one who was more focused on keeping their wedding plans a secret.  So the idea that she would leak anything about them just to momentarily distract attention from an issue that was only of interest to a small segment of the general public is preposterous.

It doesn't appear as though Ad Astra has started filming despite the earlier report that it would start Aug. 10.  They're still in the midst of completing their cast.

MUST WATCH: #neverforget Here is the first trailer for the Toronto International Film Festival-bound Angelina Jolie-directed 'First They Killed My Father', a harrowing Netflix drama about young Cambodian girl Loung Ung as she and her family struggled to survive the brutal genocide of the Khmer Rouge regime that murdered one-quarter of the population after the United States withdrew from Vietnam. Jolie wrote the script with Ung, and produced it with Cambodian-born documentary filmmaker Rithy Panh. . While recent headlines focused on an improvisational exercise used during the casting of local children — Jolie and Panh heatedly disputed the version of events depicted in Vanity Fair — the film is actually a tremendous accomplishment. It is a grand scale period epic shot entirely in Cambodia, using local cast and shot in Khmer language by Jolie, whose long love affair with the country began while filming Lara Croft: Tomb Raider. . . Panh told @deadline in a lengthy statement that these factors helped make 'First They Killed My Father' a cathartic step forward in processing a traumatic national tragedy, one made relatable by its vantage point: the eyes of a child struggling to survive while processing unimaginable trauma and violence all around her. .
