Random Fuzzies

A source told ET that Brad
had his first overnight stay with (the six kids).  The source adds that the children's nannies were also on hand during the overnight visit, as was recommended by the family therapist.

This overnight visit presumably is the same as the previously reported "visit at his Los Feliz home on the evening of April 2."  They are letting the public know that the children have progressed far from the days when they needed therapeutic visits and were recently fine being left overnight at home in his care without their Mom but still with their nannies.

He likely had his first overnight stay with them during their New Year's vacation in Crested Butte which, like their Christmas get-together, was organized by Angelina with a therapist on hand so he could join them and be with the children in an informally monitored, non-therapeutic setting.  As a result of the progress they made during the holidays, they were able to appoint Judge Ouderkirk on Jan. 9 and move to a private forum.   Wasser wrote that Dr. Russ had "disseminated his recommendations" on November 9 and "a schedule for the visits is in place through January." But by January 9, they no longer needed to have the Custody Stipulation enforced or to follow that schedule.

They've been reunited and spend time home together since the therapists relaxed their restrictions on Brad's access.  But when Angelina fulfilled engagements in Europe in mid-March, the kids didn't want to be left behind with their father even though their Missouri-based relatives would be in town for spring break.  Their mother's presence was still key to making them feel safe and secure after the incident left them severely traumatized and fearful for their safety with him.  These latest updates show that two weeks after they returned from Europe and after their reunion with their Pitt cousins, the kids were ready to be left in his care overnight without clinging to the security of having their mother with them.  Even though their nannies also stayed overnight, this is a huge step forward in their recovery.  Angelina may have initially just been nearby to make sure they were at ease and comfortable with each new step they were taking.  This moves the family within sight of their goal for the children to recover back to how they were before the plane incident when they were fine being home alone with their Dad.  Just days before the incident, the kids and Brad were in Miraval while she traveled to London and Jordan.

Wasser wrote: "Is it not the end goal that within the next 6-12 months Brad is enjoying frequent and continuous contact with all of the children on a joint custodial basis."  and "The parents are committed to act as a united front to effectuate recovery and reunification."

What they have so far revealed publicly has them close to achieving full recovery and reunification.   The aforementioned overnight took place almost 4 weeks ago and they would since have made additional progress towards moving on to unchaperoned overnights.   They said: "This is a work in progress.   Waking up with the kids every morning seemed to make him very happy." And last week: "Everything is going well; the family is getting along."

When the children have fully recovered, which means they and Brad can be together unconditionally as they were before the incident, the therapists will likely inform the judge and this would also be reflected in Dr. Katz's final report.

Again, their favored sites are ET, People, Vanity Fair and Hello.  Those are the sites that have had regular access to their vetted sources.  That is not to say that every story that comes out is from those particular sources as there are many wannabe "insiders" but their access makes them generally more reliable than the likes of Us or E!.  All sites have specific writers who seem to have more access and insight into their story:  People has Mary Green, Vanity Fair has Julie Miller, E has Natalie Finn.  The writer makes a big difference.

Brad Pitt is spending even more time with his six children.
Seven months after Angelina Jolie filed for divorce, a source tells ET that the 53-year-old actor had his first overnight stay with Maddox, 15, Shiloh, 10, Pax, 13, Zahara, 12, and 8-year-old twins, Vivienne and Knox. The source adds that the children's nannies were also on hand during the overnight visit, as was recommended by the family therapist.

The source also points out that the reason Jolie, 41, employs the nannies and not Pitt is because she "is the one with sole physical custody of the children."
"Brad has no need to have his own nannies right now," the source adds.
