Random Fuzzies

-  Daily Mail now says the photos were taken on March 13, while the family was in London.  ET's shorter but near identical story just says "earlier this month."

- The earlier THR report dated March 1 said Brad had been working on his sculpture for "nearly 10 days." Angelina and the children would have already been back from Cambodia for 7 of those days.  If he's been working on the same "intricate" sculpture, he's been at it for a month.  But I don't think he was working on it the entire time.  It was likely something he dabbled in and only immersed himself in it last week while the family was in Europe and he was left behind in L.A.

- While the therapeutic process in the Custody Stipulation was being followed and the children still did not feel safe with Brad, his visits were timed and monitored and he could not visit where they lived.  His visits had to take place in a house 10 mins. away.  Now they are not only back living together, they are back living in their family home in Hollywood Hills.  The leases for the houses they rented in Malibu and elsewhere have likely already expired.

- The children are fine living with Brad and their Mom, but they are perhaps not yet at the point where they want to be left alone in his care for a week -- which may be why they all accompanied her to Europe when there doesn't seem to be any compelling reason for them to be there.  In addition, Brad's actions and behavior when he placed his own desires ahead of his children's best interests would have factored in the therapists' and Dr, Katz's determination of his suitability to take care of the children on his own.  He may be encouraged, but no longer required, to continue individual and group therapy.  The children's therapists would also continue to check in with the children from time to time.

- Now that Angelina and the children are back home and his family from Missouri are visiting, he probably doesn't have much time to devote to sculpting.  Then again they could make it a family activity and learn to sculpt together.  Angelina has always been big on providing the children with arts and crafts to work on.

-  While the motorcycle looks like one of his, it's anyone's guess if the car with smoke wafting from a window belongs to him or if he's indeed vaping.

-  I imagine that Brad listens to his music privately with earphones on.   "He's a quiet guy, and very humble."  He doesn't sound like the type who would put his music on loud speakers in a shared space -- so it would be difficult for others to know what he's listening to.

- They've again turned to People to clarify both the Daily Mail and THR reports on his sculpting activities.

“He recently spent many days and even nights working on a sculpture,”  --  As noted above it probably kept him occupied while the rest of the family was in Europe last week.  It was not something he's been at for a month.

"Pitt, 53, even spent the morning of the Oscars last month working on his creation before watching the awards ceremony with a group of friends, cheering on Moonlight." -- He didn't miss the Oscars because he was busy sculpting.  He didn't attend the ceremony because he didn't want to go (alone).

People close to him are happy that he has found something new to be passionate about.”  -- Happy that he is passionate about something that is healthy, safe and constructive.

There was notably no denial that he is vaping.

In my experience, stories this corny come straight from the team. And the purpose, in this case, the primary purpose is to tell you that Brad Pitt is the new Mr Lonely. There may, however, be another purpose, a much more subtler one when you consider the names that are checked in this article and how they’ve all been spending their time. Shouldn’t be hard to connect those dots.

ET, one of their favored sites, has the same story and photos which seems to support the theory that it came from "the team."

- "Although he has cut out most of his bad habits, Brad is still big on vaping" -- is probably consistent with what Brad would eventually say.  He had bad habits -- in particular, substance abuse issues -- that gave rise to problems with his family, but he doesn't have them anymore and is vaping to get over smoking.

-  I don't know that Brad would care to be described as looking lost and going stir crazy.

- The brief mention of Angelina's trips was straightforward and accurate.

- There is no mention of custody or that he missed his children -- in either report -- despite the fact that they've been traveling.

-  The impression the story gives is that he is sad, lonely and heartbroken.  That he is having a difficult time with the separation and is lost. That he has now cleaned up his act and is turning to constructive endeavors instead of partying.

-  I guess the conclusion a casual reader would get is that he wants Angelina and his family life back. That he is pining to join them in all their travels and endeavors.  That he has worked on problem areas in order to win them back and be with them.  And in fact, we -- and the paparazzi at the airport who know Richie -- know they're already back.  This, then, is part of the groundwork to smooth the public path back.

Brad Pitt is getting in touch with his artistic side — but not on camera.
In the months following his split from Angelina Jolie, the actor has been spending time working on a new sculpture at the Los Angeles art studio of friend and artist Thomas Houseago.
“He recently spent many days and even nights working on a sculpture,” a source close to Pitt tells PEOPLE in this week’s issue. “People close to him are happy that he has found something new to be passionate about.”
Houseago is a well-known British contemporary visual artist who creates sculptures with materials such as plaster and plywood. His art has attracted a slew of celebrity fans including the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Anthony Kiedis and Flea.
Pitt, 53, even spent the morning of the Oscars last month working on his creation before watching the awards ceremony with a group of friends, cheering on Moonlight (which he executive-produced) as it took home Best Picture.
But Pitt’s love for creating and curating art is not a new hobby — in fact, he’s quite the art aficionado. He has collaborated on designing a furniture collection with Frank Pollaro and has worked with architects like Frank Gehry, who designed a house for Pitt’s New Orleans home-building charity Make It Right.
“He has always been very passionate about art and has a huge, very interesting collection,” says the source.

Brad Pitt is channeling his energy into sculpture.
The 53-year-old actor has been locking himself away in an art studio following his breakup with Angelina Jolie, an eyewitness tells ET.
According to the eyewitness, Pitt has taken up sculpting as a hobby under the direction of his friend, British artist Thomas Houseago, spending up to 15 hours a day in the studio, until the early hours of the morning.
The father of six reportedly arrives in the late morning hours on a motorcycle, sporting a new look to go with his new hobby.
Earlier this month, Pitt arrived at the studio via motorcycle in skinny jeans and a yellow flannel.
The actor usually spends the day with Houseago and his team of assistants, but stays behind at night to work on his piece, says the eyewitness, who adds that Pitt often listens to sad songs, like mellow tunes by Bon Iver and the breakup song "Just to Satisfy You" by Waylon Jennings.
Just a few months ago, Pitt looked to be in great spirits while listening to the songs of another artist, Sting, at the Epidermolysis Bullosa Medical Research Foundation's fourth annual ROCK4EB! charity event.

Brad Pitt has been locking himself away in a Los Angeles art studio over long and lonely nights to channel his heartbreak over his divorce from Angelina Jolie.

The 53-year-old actor has been creating a sculpture under the direction of his friend, British artist Thomas Houseago.

DailyMail.com can exclusively reveal he has been spending up to 15 hours a day in the studio working until the early hours of the morning and listening to playlists of sad songs.

Angelina, 41, recently returned to Los Angeles after taking her six children - Zahara, Shiloh, Vivienne, Knox, Maddox and Pax - to Europe where she spoke in London on behalf of greater efforts to document and prosecute crimes of rape and sexual violence in war.

She also spoke in strong defense of the UN during a ceremony in Geneva honoring Sergio Vieira de Mello, the U.N. envoy to Iraq who died in a 2003 bombing attack in Baghdad.

The Oscar-winning actress also recently took her children to Cambodia for the premiere of her new movie First They Killed My Father about the brutal Khmer Rouge regime in Cambodia.

Brad meanwhile has been typically driving himself or riding one of his motorbikes over to the Los Angeles studio owned by Thomas late in the morning to start work on his project.

The 53-year-old actor has been creating a sculpture under the direction of his friend, British artist Thomas Houseago.

A source says, 'He spends all night working on his art and listening to emotional songs.

'Everybody knows it's related to what's going on with him personally, but nobody says anything. He's a quiet guy, and very humble. He's learning at a fast pace.

'Art is a way for him to concentrate on one thing, taking his mind off everything else. He'd rather do that and be constructive than go out partying.'

The star's art soundtrack includes songs by indie singer Bon Iver, and breakup track Just To Satisfy You by Waylon Jennings.
Lyrics to the latter song include: 'How many hearts must break, how many will it take. To satisfy you, just to satisfy you. Another love, another fool. To play your game.'

Although he has cut out most of his bad habits, Brad is still big on vaping and when his car pulls into the studio, it is frequently spotted with plumes of smoke escaping from the windows.

Before starting his sculpture, Brad made a rare appearance at a public talk between Thomas and their mutual friend Flea – bass player in the Red Hot Chili Peppers - in downtown Los Angeles.

The event was particularly resonant for Brad as Thomas – who lives in the same exclusive compound - spoke in depth about his own personal struggles.

He told Brad and the rest of the audience: 'You need that darkness and doubt as a motivator … recently I've come to really like that broken guy and take care of him.'
The pair have been friends for some time, and Thomas has been there for Brad after also going through a divorce himself.

Thomas went on to explain the 'infinite magic of art', adding: 'When you have that trauma and have that anxiety, you have that push … it gets you off planet earth, and through the atmosphere really fast.'

According to an onlooker, Brad attended the event with a group of buddies and looked deep in thought. He later appeared sombre with his head down, glued to his cell phone. Weeks later he'd started his project with Thomas.

Brad's new focus on his art comes weeks after he appeared to be going a little stir crazy in Santa Barbara, where he's owned a beach house for years.
The Allied star was spotted buying new clothes at a local store and wandering alone around the town looking lost, before bizarrely staring at baskets in a supermarket.

Brad currently has plenty of spare time to work on his sculpture after wrapping his last movie, War Machine, directed by David Michod.
He is also involved in a number of projects as producer with his production company, Plan B.

The star has been through a difficult time after Angelina announced their separation in September after more than a decade together.
The divorce is yet to be finalized.
