TMZ is still at war with Angelina and quickly followed up with an article that recycles the laughable claim that this is all part of a year-long plot orchestrated by the two English ladies for her to leave Brad and move to London with the children so she can eventually become the UN. Secretary General. Despite the fact that the U.N. is in New York. They made a small concession to add a denial from her rep:
Jolie's rep denies there's a move planned and says Angelina is focused on the health and well being of her children. The rep adds, Angelina wants to continue therapy with the kids and Brad. The last line from her rep is saying that they want to be united as a family .
Reports that Angelina Jolie is planning to move to London for a top United Nations position are "absolutely false," a representative for Jolie tells ET."She has no intention of moving to London," the rep says. "In fact, she is looking for a new home in the Los Angeles area so that she can continue the family therapy sessions."
A new home closer to and for Brad obviously. Malibu is about an hour away.
There is the suggestion that the sessions are or are expected to be fairly frequent.
I can't recall the last time they told us of their plans to move in advance.
Variations of the London story have been around for months but only now did her rep respond forcefully. She contacted many more outlets than she did to comment on the S&O filing, and more than carried the original TMZ story. By also providing a tantalizing hint that the family is coming back together, she totally obliterated TMZ's story and damaged its credibility.
I noted in a previous post how Brad's rep denied stories linking him to Kate Hudson and then denied that a bodyguard who was attacking Angelina ever worked for him. Now we have her rep swiftly denying that she wants to take the children and move to London away from Brad. That on the contrary she wants to move closer to him to make the family therapy sessions more convenient.
Unlike denials from a "an insider" or "source close to" one from a rep who is clearly identified as a rep carries extra weight because there's an official connection and authority.
We should actually be grateful to TMZ for posting that ridiculous story because we otherwise wouldn't have had these revealing new quotes from her rep.
Brad may be close to being allowed unsupervised visits.
They are moving from helping the children reconnect with him to strengthening his bond with them as a family. Like I wrote in a previous post, Brad needs Angelina's help to win back their children.
To quote from what I wrote previously:
It is fairly obvious that Brad desperately needs Angelina's help to win back their children. The children trust only her. They know she will protect them. They listen to her. His attempts to win them back will not go far without her support.
Angelina is the key to Brad again sharing the same home with his children. It will only happen with her and with her full support and encouragement. The children will follow her lead: if she has faith in him, they will try to have faith in him too.
That is why "everything is on her terms." She is deciding what is best for the family, and that has been her role from the start.
It is only the children's current relationship with their father that is keeping them apart. There is nothing else. There are no "irreconcilable differences." The only "difference" is the children's unease being with their father and they are doing their best to help heal the relationship. As Judy Smith said when they released their 1st statement:
“Back when Angelina first filed for divorce, she said that the reason she filed was for the safety and health and well-being of the kids and that has been her consistent point of view from the beginning,” the source explained. “Nothing has changed.”
In light of Allied's struggles at the box office, I also wrote
He desperately needs her help to rehabilitate his public image as well. Like his children, the public will view her continued love for him as proof that she forgives him and is willing to trust him again with their children. It is critical far a star in his position to restore his box office drawing power and there is no question she will do everything to help him.
Under the agreement, the only therapy Angelina needs to undergo is with the children and Brad -- all of them together as a family.
Just from the list of therapy sessions you can tell where the problem lies: Brad has one individual, one group and one with the family. He also has random testing but her rep said he had volunteered and that was undoubtedly to prove to Angelina that he was now clean. The kids have individual counseling plus the family therapy. And Brad and the kids have their monitored visits. Angelina is the only one without individual therapy -- she has no problems and she has healed. She can now devote all her efforts to help the family heal.
It is also notable that in all her remarks on the S&O, Angelina's rep focuses almost exclusively on telling us how Angelina's sole priority has been looking after the kids' well being, how she hasn't left their side. She doesn't talk about the filing or the legal aspects of the agreement -- which is all Brad's rep talked about. She doesn't explain why Angelina filed. Her only comments that touch on the agreement are about how Angelina is not the one keeping Brad from the children, that Brad had volunteered to undergo drug testing and that the purpose of the agreement is so the children will not be forced to be with Brad.
So there is no point on which her rep and his rep publicly clash. Think they coordinated beforehand? Of course, they did. It's a carefully choreographed dance.
I assume that the person talking for Brad is his rep, but exactly what level of "rep" he is isn't clear. Is it Matthew Hiltzik, a crisis manager he reportedly hired? It almost certainly isn't his manager.
In the Daily Mail report that largely quotes TMZ it said "Pitt's rep had no comment. "
We're not the only ones who noticed her rep's line,
